Naehlara glanced in the mirror one more time, her hair was braided back and her crown rested against the top of her head. Dressed in her travel gear, the dark green matched her eyes with the golden flecks. It left a smile on her face wearing the gear she hasn't been able to wear in nearly two years. Turning from the mirror and grabbing her sword, she strapped it to her hip. Well, not her sword she lost both her sword and daggers at the battle at the Black Gate.

She had gone to search for them after she finished completely healing but there was just to much rubble to really be able to go and search through it all to find the three weapons. So instead she strapped her husband's sword to her waist. Leaving her room she made her way outside of the cabin. Since the elves departed Middle Earth many had moved traveled with Naehlara and Legolas through Fangorn Forest.

Together through the trees they had found a home, never touching the trees but coexisting with them. Through out the forest hundreds of small casings like her's were able to be seen. And the elves resumed teaching the trees to speak like they had back during the first age. Every once in a while the Ents would come through to check on the trees but most of the time they stayed near Isengard to nurture the growth of new trees on the land.

Naehlara stood outside for a moment looking around the trees to see if she could see her husband. He had left a little earlier to get some medicine from Lythandir and his fiance but he really should've been back by now. The sound of a branch breaking caused Naehlara to turn from the direction of Lythandirs house to the North. "Looking for me, love?" Legolas questioned, smiling to her. In his arms Virion slept peacefully, curled up against his chest.

"Yes I was. What were you doing up there? I thought you went to see Lythandir." Naehlara questioned coming over, slowly lifting Virion from Legolas' arms and holding him to her. Admiring the dark brown hair curling at the top of his head. He looked so much like her brother. It was actually Legolas who had suggested naming him after her brother and Naehlara couldn't have been happier to do so.

"I went to prepare your horse." Legolas explained. "Are you sure you do not wish for me to come with?"

"I would have loved for the both of you to come, but it is a long ride to the Shire. And Virion is sick and needs his rest. I feel better knowing you are here taking care of him." Naehlara stated, looking down to her baby boy, memorizing everything about him before her trip. In the past year she has barely left his side for more than a day. And now taking a trip out to the Shire and to the last docks before the Gray Havens, it left her uneasy to be gone so long but she knew she needed to do this.

"You look ready to go then." Legolas commented, looking over her, she was still an unearthly beauty, and to see her in the traveling gear reminded him of their travels through the woods. Of all the happy times they have had together since finding each other five years ago. "You should go, there is still plenty of light and I know you would prefer to get there sooner rather than later."

Naehlara glanced up from her son to Legolas, giving him a small smile. Slowly handing Virion back to him, she quickly kissed Legolas, before leaning down and placing a soft kiss on Virion's forehead. "You two stay safe. I will be back as soon as possible. I love you."

"We love you too. Stay safe Lara, if I hear you went looking for trouble..." Legolas says, softly shaking his head and laughing a little.

"I don't do that anymore. I will just be riding with them. I promise."

"Then go, my love. You have a long journey." Legolas leaned forward, kissing the top of her head.

"I will be back soon." With that Naehlara left the cabin heading towards the small clearing in the forest the horses stayed gathered at. Her horse saddled and waiting at the edge of the tree line.
