Legolas, Aragorn and Gimli were down in the armory. Worry eating away at each of them. It was night by now and Naehlara hadn't shown up, it was eating away at Legolas. What if they had run into the Uruk-hai and they were lost in battle. The thought of her being gone made him sick.

Aragorn glanced around the armory, surveying the different people in there trying to get a weapon for the night. "Farmer, farriers, stable boys. These are no soldiers." Aragorn states, setting a sword down on a table, looking to Legolas and Gimli.

"Most have seen too many winters." Gimli comments.

"Or too few. Look at them. They're frightened. I can see it in their eyes." Legolas says, the room falling silent. "And they should be, three hundred against ten thousand!" He exclaims, the frustration and worry of the day getting to him.

"They have more hope of defending themselves here than at Edoras." Aragorn tries to calmly reason. He knows that Legolas is worried and it is clouding his normally calm nature.

"Aragorn, we are warriors. They cannot win this fight. They are all going to die!" Legolas exclaims, stepping towards Aragorn.

"Then I shall die as one of them!" Aragon yells, turning away from Legolas and exiting the armory. Everyone looks to Legolas but turn away starting their own conversations about the night.

Legolas stepped forward to go after Aragorn. "Let him go, lad. Let him be." Gimli says softly, grabbing his arm and holding him back. Legolas let out a deep sigh, moving around the armory to sharpen his sword and to gather more arrows. Trying to calm his mind and his worried heart.

It was nearly two hours later, till Aragorn was back in the armory. Tightening his battle gear around him. Reaching for his sword, its placed in his hands. Aragorn glances up finding Legolas is standing there, Aragorn nods his head in thanks, taking the sword. "We have trusted you this far. You have not led us astray. Forgive me. I was wrong to despair." Legolas states.

"There is nothing to forgive, Legolas." They smile to each other, clapping each other's shoulders. "Naehlara will be here, you need not to worry for her." Aragorn whispered. Looking away as Gimli comes into the room struggling to hold chainmail around his body.

Legolas looks back as Gimli drops it, the legs of the chainmail pooling by his feet. "If we had more time I'd get this adjusted. It's a little tight across the chest." He states, causing a smile to grow across Legolas and Aragorns faces, easing what was left of tension or worry. A horn echos through the keep, Legolas head shooting up, his smile growing wider.

"That is no orc horn." He says, the smile on his face infectious as one grows across Aragorn's face. Legolas turns sprinting out of the armory, Aragorn right behind him.

The Elves enter the keep, led by Naehlara and Haldir. "How is this possible?" Theoden asks in astonishment looking to Naehlara. He was not told of her royal blood but by the crown she wore Theoden had assumed that she had come from a royal family within the Elves.

"I bring word from Elrond of Rivendell. An alliance once existed between Elves and men. Long ago we fought and died together." He says, looking up to see Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli running down the stairs. "We have come to honor that allegiance and to fight by our Queen's side." Haldir states, glancing to Naehlara. Theoden glances to her, smiling as he learned he was right in his assumption of her status.

Aragorn comes down the stairs, standing in front of Haldir. "Welcome, Haldir." He says, the smile on his face going ear to ear. Suddenly pulling Haldir into a hug, surprising the elf. "You are most welcome."

Legolas comes down, Haldir and him grabbing each other's shoulder in greeting. The elves behind Naehlara and Haldir turning to face the stairs. "We are proud to fight alongside men, once more." Haldir says, looking to the king. Legolas steps away from Haldir, putting a hand on Naehlara's shoulder and pulling her into a tight hug.

Pulling away, reluctantly, he moves to stand by her side. "Haldir. Gimli will show them to the armory if anyone needs to sharpen there weapons or to gather more arrows. Aragorn, Theoden we should go plan a new battle strategy." Naehlara says, walking up to the king and Aragorn.

Together they walked to the main hall atop the keep. Deciding to line the elves along the first wall of the keep since the archery of elves is unrivaled by men. They would keep a hundred down behind the wall for extra reinforcements if something were to happen to the wall. Haldir came to join them after an hour with Legolas by his side. After revising the plan, Legolas, Haldir and Naehlara went down to the armory to instruct the elves.

Explaining the battle plan was quick, as many of these elves have seen war before. As the elves dispersed to go to their stations, Haldir turned to Naehlara. "Lady Galadriel sent a gift for you." He said, motioning for another elf to come forward holding a bag.

"And why didn't you give this to me sooner?" Naehlara questioned, raising an eyebrow.

Haldir smiled, grabbing the heavy bag and handing it to her. "We were in a rush to get here before the Uruk-hai." Surprised by the weight Naehlara nearly dropped it, looking to the bag in confusion. Slowly opening it, her mouth opens slightly in shock as she looked at the silver metal armor. Nothing like the gold armor the elves of Lothlorien wore, but like the armor the Elves of Doriath wore. "She had it made after you left Lothlorien. I will leave you now, I will see you on the wall, my Queen" Haldir says, bowing and leaving the armory.

Pulling out the armor in astonishment, Legolas examined it. "I have never seen armor like this before." He said quietly.

"It's designed like the armor of the Doriath Elves. I had something very similar to this during my battles against Morgoth." Naehlara explained. "Help me put this on." Naehlara stated, not giving him a choice.

It only took a moment between the two to get the armor tightened around her. And Legolas couldn't help but admire how she looked in the armor. Her hair still done in the braid that he had done on there way to Helm's Deep, but mostly fallen out probably from her swim in the river. She looked like a Queen and a warrior, the armor was perfect for her. Looking her up and down, his eyes landing on her crown. Stepping forward, he slips the crown from her head, setting it onto a table next to them. "It'll just get in the way." Legolas says, his lip tilted up in a smirk. Naehlara was thankful to have the crown off her head.

Legolas smirk dropped as he looked over face. "What is wrong?" Naehlara questioned tilting her head in confusion in his sudden change of moods.

"You scared me to death, Naehlara. Jumping off that cliff, not coming back with Aragorn. I had no idea where you were or if you were okay. Until Aragorn returned I thought I had lost you." Legolas whispered, stepping in front of her, holding her gaze. She could see the fear he had felt in his eyes. Her throat bobbed as she swallowed, looking away from Legolas. He grabbed her chin, forcing her to look at him. "You can't disappear like that tonight. Do you understand? If something happens to you, I will die, Naehlara." Legolas spoke softly as he looked over her, watching the different emotions passing through her eyes.

Naehlara sat there for a moment, it was confusing her the way he was speaking. Saying her name, not Lara, not my queen but Naehlara. "Legolas, I- I cannot promise anything. If something happened to me, you will move on, it will take time but you will." Naehlara said, looking over his face, his eyebrows crunching together. Shaking his head, he softly places his forehead against hers, his hands moving from her chin to cupping the side of her face.

"If you die, I will die of a broken heart Naehlara." Legolas whispered. Naehlara's eyes widen, taking a step back from Legolas. Did he just-

"They are calling everyone to the wall." Gimli says entering the armory, pausing in the entryway. "I interrupted something didn't I?" He asks, looking between the two.

Naehlara coughed stepping away from Legolas. "Let's go." She said quickly, heading to the stairs to leave the armory.

"Stay safe, my love." Legolas says softly, watching her freeze at the first step. Looking back to him and then turns, leaving the armory.
