The ending they deserved

"Are you nervous?" Addison made a hilarious laugh. Levi's hands are cold as an ice.

Today is the day they decided to see a doctor for a check up. Kasama din nila si Elvi na panay takbo sa hallway ng clinic.

"I'm sorry. How about you? Are you conscious?"

"No. Maybe because this is the second time around so I am not freaking out anymore hihi."

"Good to know that. Hayaan mo lang ako, okay? As long as you are cool and not anxious."

It's their time to enter the OB's room. Addi was asked to lay down in the bed because they will going to have a TVS ultrasound since it's not yet a month that Addi experiencing the symptoms.

Nakaupo lang sa isang sofa si Levi habang akay akay si Elvi at kapwa nakatingala sa malaking monitor na nakadikit sa pader.

Nang sinimulan na ng OB Gyn ang ultrasound ay tutok na tutok lang sila sa monitor. His eyes furrowed in fear. It is five munutes past but the doctor hasn't say a word still. Napakaseryuso lang ng mukha nito na tila may hinahanap hanap.

"I am sorry for my long silence, I just want to check it thoroughly. Just making it very sure."

"May problema po ba?" nangangmbang tanong ni Addi.

"No. Nothing at all. Actually the babies are fine. Im seeing two embryos here."

"What does that mean?" tanong na ni Levi.

"You are having twins."

Parang sinukluban si Levi ng kung anong mabigat na bagay sa dibdib niya sa sobrang gulat.

"W-what? Come again?"

"There are two babies inside Miss Zapatti's tummy. Take a good look....here..." the doctor paused an image, incircling two things. Levi is so certain the doctor's not mistaken, he saw these before during Cali's check ups  "Baby number one, baby number two. You wanna hear their heartbeats?"

*lub dub lub dub, lub dub lub dub*

Levi scoffed. He blinked mutiple times, even slap himself to check if this is reality, but he's not dreaming at all! Hindi alam kung magiging masaya ba o magugulat.

Twins. Two babies at a time then??

"Wow.." Addi astonishly said. "How did that happened" she laughed after. Nakakagulat. Dalawa? Hindi ba mahirap magbuntis ng dalawa? Eh si Elvi nga non ay bigat na bigat na siya! Paano na kung dalawa?

"Well, either genetics or pure luck. Congratulations!"

Dahan dahang tumayo si Addi at nagsibalik na sila sa kani kanilang upuan.

Levi's horrified face still staring at Addison. Clouded to bewilderment. He wanna end this asap, so that he can talk to her. They really must talk!

She just held his hand but now, he's.l not the one who's nervous anymore. It's two of them already.

"The fetus are both healthy. Need mo talaga ng doble ingat dahil dalawa ang manghihingi ng nutrients sayo. So, I will advice twice a month na prenatal check ups para matutukan kita, okay?"

"Of course doc. Will do as you wish."

"Nagtatrabaho ka ba?"

"Di na po. Baka hindi pa."

"About her tummy., will that able to carry two children? She was a CS mom actually." Levi spoke up already. "I am afraid, there will be a complications like it can't handle a tight grip since it was being cut a long time ago?"

"Oh." the doctor is surprised. "Yes, kaya naman. There is nothibg to worry naman po sir, it's very rare na may ganung cases. Pwede naman nating tulungan si mommy na wag masyado palakihin ang babies dahil mukhang mas mabibigatan ka po ngayon mommy unlike sa previous pregnancy...we will deliver the kids early anyway so hindi natin pa aabutin na mag 37 weeks unlike sa one singleton baby. 35 weeks pwede na sila ilabas"
