She Chose Him

Two days passed, she stood up near the door, tapping her elbows tensely. It's already twelve in the afternoon, why is he not yet here?

Nagtatagis ang bagang ni Addi at nagsitulo na naman ang mga luha sa mga mata niya. His son is already well dressed, so she took Elvi out from his pen and pressed her hand print in the scanner.

Pamartsa siyang naglakad patungo sa opisina nito habang karga karga si Elvi. Abot hininga niyang binuksan ang pinto ng opisina. Halos humiwalay ang kaluluwa niya sa katawan ng makitang may lalakeng nakaupo sa swivel chair ni Levi but in her dismay, it wasn't him. It's Deon.

She tried to calm down especially when he saw some bandages on his hand, and patches in his likely beaten face.

Deon is surprised to her arrival yet remained poised and perplexed, readying himself to Addi's confrontation.

"Addison." he looked down to the kid she put down.

"Deon...where is Levi? And...what happened to you?"

"L-Levi? I-I don't know. By the way, did you received any kind of letter from him?"

"Y-you know?"

Deon sighed. "Goodness. He said you will be here soon to took over his desk so I waited for you to arrive."

"--no. I am not sitting there. Never" nagsimula na naman siyang maging emosyonal at hindi na naman napigilang umiyak.

Natulala na lang si Deon na nakatayo sa harap nito. He's mentally unwell still after all that happened. He and Kalani was able to escape. When he tried to get back and help them, the team was in a chaos. Fraed was shot, Ingrid and Raek was injured. Prawle and Jeremiah had even a hard time to help the two, which they eventually recovered then in their state but when he looked around to check Levi, he was lying just an arm distance with Evoree. He was about to reach him when he felt a hard thing hit her face then he fainted.

Hindi na niya alam kung ano mang sumunod na nangyari as he woke up in the hospital bed. Then Jeremiah delivered the news, all of them are safe except for Levi who's now dead.

"What the fuck are you talking, he can't be dead!"

"It was declared by the doctors at 3 in the afternoon. He arrived with his pulse so weak. They tried, Deon but he didn't survive."

He blinked in disbelief. Is this over, right?

"How about Evoree? Is that shit dead?" he spill with his mouth spat some bitter food. He despised even saying his name.

"Dead on arrival. As well as his father."

"Shit...what will happen to us. Hahuntingin na ba tayo ng Org?" sapo niya ang ulo.

"Possibly yes."

"What now? Where's Levi?"

"The hospital is arranging the documents as they are waiting for his parent's arrival."

Zace will definitely be cursing at how fucked up they are now.

How can he deliver this news to his claimed wife and son today?...

"Would be there any hint you have where is he now?" paimpit nitong iyak. "I can't run this company, Deon. How can he do this to me?"

"Sorry, Addi. If only I have." he sadly answered. "I can still do some patchings here until you already have the decision."

"T-thank you."

The next thing happened, she's already puking in the bathroom, like all her organs will come out from her stomach.
