Vicki Donovan has officially been reported as missing. Meaning the police wanted to talk to anyone who saw her before her "disappearance.". Which included Jeremy, Elena, Matt and myself. I shifted awkwardly as I sat across from sheriff Forbes, Carlonies mother.

"When did you last see Vicki Donovan?" The sheriff asked me. If I were to tell the truth, I'd have to say that she was drinking the blood of my aunt's dead boyfriend. Which I dont think would go down well. Maybe Sheriff Forbes would lock me up in a psychiatric ward.

"At my house when she came to visit my brother Jeremy." I replied honestly

"And how did she seem? What was her behaviour like?" The sheriff asked

"Um, weird. It was like she had a major hangover or something, she ate like half of my fridge." I explained. Elena, Stefan and I had decided it was best to stick to the truth, but not say that she was a vampire. Because Matt and Jeremy saw her before when she looked unwell. If we told a different story to Matt and Jeremy, it would raise suspicions.

"Any signs of violence or aggression?" The sheriff asked

"No." I replied

"So you believe Vicki really has left town?" The sheriff asked

"Yes." I answered.

After a lot of questioning, I was finally allowed to leave the police precinct. Stefan was already standing outside waiting for the rest of us, or more likely waiting for Elena.

"Hey." I said as I came to stand beside him, waiting for Aunt Jenna, Elena and Jeremy to come out.

"Hi, everything go okay?" He asked me

"Yeah. I hope so." I replied

The door of the precinct opened and Matt came storming outside. He walked straight past Stefan and I without even giving us a second glance.

"I was just trying to help her, Matt. That's all." Stefan called out to him, but he didn't even stop.

The door opened again and my family walked outside, Elena stared at Stefan for a moment before she turned to Aunt Jenna and Jeremy. "I'll meet you guys at the car."

"Okay." Aunt Jenna said before she and Jeremy walked to the car.

"You okay?" Stefan asked Elena as he placed his hand on her arm.

"I don't think the sheriff suspected anything. Jeremy had no memory at all. All he knew was what Damon made him know." Elena said

"Thank you." Stefan said

"I can't do this, Stefan. Every time I look at Matt or Jeremy...all I think is that Vicki is never gonna come back. And they'll never know why. Around you, people get hurt and people die and I just...I can't. It's just too much." Elena rambled. I awkwardly shuffled on my feet before I turned on my heels and made my way across the parking lot, giving the two some space.

I walked down the stairs with the intention of grabbing a snack when I noticed Elena putting her shoes on. "Hey, where are you going?" I asked her. She looked up from zipping up her boots.

"To Caroline's party at the grill, it's Stefan's birthday and I said I wasn't going but I've changed my mind." She said as she stood up from the sofa. "Do you wanna come with?"

"Um, yeah sure." I replied, I grabbed my shoes from the cupboard and followed her out the door.

Elena drove us to the Grill, she told me all about his friend Lexi and how she had first met her when she was only wearing a towel. Great first impression.

When we got there, I climbed out of the car and I could hear the music and laughter coming from inside. The two of us headed inside and Elena was glancing around, probably looking for Stefan. For someone who said that she doesn't want to be with him, she sure does spend a lot of time looking for him.

It didn't take us very long to spot Stefan and a blonde woman, who I am assuming is his friend Lexi. They were playing pool and seemed to be having fun. Elena stopped and stared at Stefan, I could see the admiration in her eyes.

My attention was drawn away from Stefan and Elena when Damon suddenly walked towards us. He was glancing between Elena and Stefan with a smirk on his face. He then walked over to the two of us and stood a little too close to me.

"Stefan smiled. Alert the media." Damon said, his comment almost made me laugh, almost.

"You haven't given him a lot of reasons to be happy lately." Elena stated

"No, you're right. Poor Stefan. Persecuted throughout eternity by his depraved brother. Does it get tiring, being so righteous?" Damon asked

"It flares up in the presence of psychopaths." Elena said, I couldn't help but laugh at her comment. Damon shot me a glare as I laughed. Elena went a few paces away from him.

"Ouch. Well, consider this psychopath's feelings hurt." Damon said as he placed his hand over his chest.

"What did you do to my brother?" Elena asked

"I'm gonna need a less vague question." Damon replied

"When you did what you did to Jeremy's memory of Vicki...what else did you do to him?" Elena asked

"You asked me to take away his memory of fangs and." Damon growled. "And all the bad stuff. You wanted me to take away his suffering."

"But he's acting different. He seems okay with everything. And a little too okay. He's studying, he's not doing drugs, he's not drinking. You sure you didn't do something else?" Elena asked

"Elena, I took away his suffering." Damon stated. His wording was strange to me, it sounded like he had taken away all of his suffering and not just his memories of Vicki's death. If I'm being honest, it's not the worst thing that Damon has done.

The night seemed relatively normal, until the police and Sheriff Forbes came storming in. They were heading across the bar towards Damon and Lexi. I tensed up as I watched them. They stormed up to the two and unexpectedly, Sheriff Forbes turned to Lexi. She got two of her officers to drag her outside. I was honestly expecting them to get Damon.

I spotted Elena and Stefan attempting to get out the front door, but they were stopped by two police officers. I walked over to them as they turned around and quickly headed across the bar. The three of us made it to the back entrance that led to the alleyway. Only to find the Sheriff aiming her gun at Lexi.

But before we could make it to her, Damon appeared out of nowhere and staked her in the heart. Elena and I gasped. I stopped in my tracks and Stefan dragged Elena to his behind the corner. He held his hand over her mouth to stop us from being detected. I stayed close to the wall as I watched In horror.

"Oh, my god." Stefan muttered. Damon twisted the Stake, and Lexi fell to the ground. Her skin was pale and covered in dark veins, just as Vicki had been.

"You okay?" Damon asked the sheriff, acting like he was a concerned human being. And not a psychopathic monster.

"Thank you. Get it in the car, quickly." The sheriff said. I watched as Damon and the sheriff stuffed the girl's body into the back of the police car. I could see Stefan's eyes brimming with tears, his hands were shaking with sadness and rage.
