Things never liked to go according to plan. There was always something that we didn't account for, and it was usually a supernatural element that caught us by surprise. But in this scenario, it was Elena Gilbert.

"You guys are trying to kill her here?" Elena asked us with a shocked tone

"We saw an opportunity. We had to take it." Jeremy admitted in a nonchalant manner.

"Stop with the we. Are you crazy? You're gonna get yourselves killed. And Thea, why did you allow Jeremy to come along? How could you be so reckless?" Elena turned her gaze to me with a questioning and judging stare.

"Jeremy is going to get himself involved in all of this with or without us, Elena. And it's safer if it's with us." I pointed out. There was no keeping Jeremy from this anymore, not unless she wanted to ask Damon to wipe his memory again.

"Thank you." Jeremy nodded gratefully to me for backing him up.

"We know what we're doing." Bonnie added

"How am I supposed to feel if you guys get hurt because of me?" Elena asked scoldingly with a hint of worry in her voice.

"It's not just about you. She's messed with all of us. She has to be stopped." Jeremy stated

"And she won't stop until she's dead. We all know that." I added firmly. Katherine will not stop as long as she's alive and kicking. She will always have some sort of diabolical plan up her sleeve.

All of a sudden, Elena jolted forward, her back arching in pain as she let out a pained scream. My eyes widened and I reached out to grab her arm automatically. My heart jolted from how sudden it was, and I felt panic rising within me as I searched her for any physical injuries.

"Elena. Elena." Jeremy rushed to her other side

"What is it?" Bonnie asked worriedly as she stood in front of Elena.

I looked behind her at her back for any physical sign of what was wrong with her, only to see blood seeping through her light pink shirt. My eyes widened almost comically as confusion overtook my mind. There had been nothing behind her that would cause this, it looked like she had been stabbed.

"What the fuck?" I mumbled worriedly

Elena continued to scream as a second and third wound appeared on her body. There was a second gaping wound on her shoulder, and a deep cut on her forearm. Elena was on her knees as she tried to put pressure on the sudden wounds.

"Hey, what's going on?" Jeremy questioned worriedly, but I doubt that Elena knew anymore than we did.

"Jeremy, It's Katherine." Bonnie suddenly gasped. My heart plummeted in my chest at her words. If Stefan and Damon go through with the plan and kill Katherine, Elena will die along with her.

"She's linked to Katherine. Get them to stop. Now!" Bonnie urged Jeremy. He shot up from Elena's side and ran for the house with clear determination in his stride.

"Bonnie, do you know any spells to undo this?" I questioned desperately as I watched the red blood soak her entire back.

"I-I don't know..." Bonnie said nervously as she wracked her mind for any spells. I tried to do the same, but the panic I was feeling was making it difficult to think straight.

Elena suddenly screamed again. She held out her hand as a long deep cut formed on the palm of her hand. "It hurts." Elena cried out

"I can't break the spell, Elena. I'm sorry." Bonnie said sympathetically

If neither of us could think of a counter spell, there was only one thing left we could do for her. "Yeah, well I can." I said with determination as I placed my hand on my sister's shoulder and focused on the energy of the spell that had tied her to Katherine.
