I placed my bag down in the large guest room in the Salvatore house. It was just across the hall from Damon's room and it was almost as big, the bed was much larger than my own and it was somehow well kept and clean despite the brothers not having a maid.

I sat down on the bed just as the door creaked open and Damon poked his head in, he shot me a smile and opened the door wider so he could step in.

"Bonnie's setting up downstairs." Damon said as he walked into the room

"Okay." I said quietly with a nod

Damon frowned and moved to sit on the bed beside me. "Is everything okay?"

"Yeah...well, not really. I mean, Jeremy's been kidnapped, my uncle wanted to kill me, and I just found out that I'm a witch." I said, placing my head in my hands.

"Yeah, it's a lot for one day." Damon said sympathetically

"No shit." I muttered, making him chuckle lightly.

"Do you...you don't think you would be able to take the magic from the invention, do you?" Damon asked curiously. He obviously still didn't trust Bonnie, and would feel more comfortable if I were the one to do it.

"I don't think it's a good idea. Bonnie's been doing this for longer than I have, I could mess it up." I admitted. The last thing I want to do is to mess it up and put Damon and Stefan in any danger.

"All right." Damon nodded in understanding. I sent him a small smile before I looked back down at my hands, still finding myself unable to fully process what I know.

"Come on. Let's go downstairs and see if they are ready." Damon clapped my shoulder with his hand as he stood up. I nodded and got up from the bed, following him out of the room and down the stairs.

Bonnie had set up on one of the wooden tables in the living room. There were four candles laid out in front of her and the invention was sitting in the center. She took the middle of the invention out and placed it on the table.

The invention floated up off of the table as Bonnie held her hands out over it. The lights in the house also began to flicker and then switch off completely. She spun the invention around in the air and after a moment, she jolted and it fell back into her hand. Something didn't feel right to me.

"Done." Bonnie said

Elena walked over and took the invention from her hand.

"Great. Now what?" Damon said

"Now we give it to Isobel." Elena said

The park in the center of Mystic Falls was dark and empty. The air had gotten even chillier than it was this morning, so I had put a jacket on top of my jumper.

"Are you sure you should even be here, Thea? It's already dangerous enough." Stefan spoke lowly, not wanting to risk being overheard by the nearby vampires.

"I'm sure." I nodded firmly, but Stefan still looked uncertain, like he was one wrong move away from sending me back to the car.

"Look, Stefan. Damon found something out from Isobel. Do you remember that day you...lost control." I said the words hesitantly, not wanting to hurt him by bringing up the day he bit me.

Stefan's jaw clenched tightly and he averted his gaze away from me, clearly still unable to forgive himself for what happened. "Of course."

"When you bit me, I put my hand on you and it hurt." I continued, trying to jog his memory.
