It's been three days since the party at the Lockwoods. And over those three days, my mind has spun over every single thing that had happened, over thinking every moment in case I missed something that was now so painfully obvious.
On Top of my growing suspicion, there has been no sign of either of the Salvatores. I was honestly grateful for the distance. It allowed me to have some time to think about everything I thought that I knew and didn't know.
I sighed softly and pushed my cereal around the bowl of milk. "Everything Okay?" Aunt Jenna suddenly asked with concern in her voice
"Yeah, everything's fine." I replied. I could tell by her expression that she didn't believe me, but before she could push for more information, Elena came into the kitchen.
"Jenna." She whispered before returning to a normal tone. "Are you aware of what's going on upstairs?"
"Uh-huh." Aunt Jenna hummed nonchalantly.
"And you have no objection?" Elena questioned
"He could be craftier about it. At least make an effort to sneak her in and out. Oh, and uh just so you know, I won't be home for dinner." Aunt Jenna said with a happy expression on her face.
"Ohh. So you're actually going to do it. You're gonna go out with Logan." Elena said teasingly
"I'm gonna show up and torture him, yes." Aunt Jenna stated. "And have you heard from Stefan?" The mention of the Salvatore made me tense slightly, but I tried to play is off so no one would mention it.
"Not since he left that very vague message three days ago. 'Hi, um, Elena, I, um...I have something I have to do. I'll, uh, explain in a few days'." Elena mimicked
"Haven't you called him?" Aunt Jenna asked
"Nope. Not going to either." Elena said
"And you're okay with everything?" Aunt Jenna asked
"No, I'm not okay with any of it. But I'm not gonna cry about it either." Elena said. Speak for yourself, I've already cried about it. Twice. Well, not about Elena's relationship, but about vampires.
"You know, I was gonna write in my diary this morning and then I thought: what am I gonna write? Honestly I'm not gonna be one of those pathetic girls whose world stops spinning because of some guy." Elena stated angrily as she poured herself some cereal. I almost made a joke about twilight and Bella Swan, but I quickly stopped myself.
"Okay, then." Aunt Jenna said
"I'll be fine." Elena stated before she left the kitchen.

My hands clutched the steering wheel of my car so tightly that my knuckles started to turn white. I looked out the window at the Salvatore boarding house and seriously questioned my sanity. I huffed a heavy sigh and tilted my head back, hitting it against the headrest with a light thud.
I drove all the way here with the full intention of confronting the Salvatore brothers. Whether Damon bit Carolone because he's a vampire, or he's just a freak, he needs to be dealt with and told that he can't do that to her. Apparently I decided that I'm the one who should do that. Which is unbelievably stupid. I can hardly defend myself against a bee, never mind a vampire.
I sighed again and pulled myself out of my car, forcing my feet to carry me up to the front door. If it wasn't for the way my heart raced painfully in my chest, I would have admired how stunning the house was.
I stepped up to the front door, every fiber of my being screaming at me to turn and run while I still could. I took on a deep breath, stupidly ignoring my survival instincts, and knocked on the door.
