The day had gone by slowly without any supernatural events. Everything was quiet. Something was wrong. I had tried calling Damon this morning but he hadn't picked up, and Elena has been missing all day. I was only hoping that she was with Stefan.

Though It was nice to have a quiet day for once. It's something I've been in dire need of. It seemed like the universe could tell I was starting to relax into the couch, as Stefan suddenly appeared in front of me.

I jumped harshly, my hand shooting up to clutch my chest. "God, Stefan! Why? My soul just left my body." I exclaimed dramatically.

"Sorry." Stefan said, I could tell something was wrong just by his expression alone.

"What's up?" I asked him in concern

"It's Elena." He said. My mind went to a million different places at those two words, my heart rate increased and panic quickly set in. Stefan must have noticed my panicked expression as he quickly spoke up to placate me.

"She's okay, she's fine. It's just, she's with Damon." He said. I let out a sigh of relief before confusion washed over me.

"Why is she with Damon?" I asked.

"It's a long story." Stefan sighed heavily. I sat up on the sofa and patted the space beside me.

"Spill." I said. Stefan sighed and sat down beside me.

"Well, we, um....we slept together. And then she found something." Stefan said hesitantly

"I hope you know how weird that sounds." I said. Stefan smiled slightly and then reached into his pocket, pulling out a small picture. He handed it to me and my jaw dropped as I looked at it. Katherine. She looks exactly like my sister. It's uncanny. I can't even tell the difference.

"What?" I asked, feeling completely baffled. "This is Katherine?"

"Yes." He said

"Is this why you're dating her?" I asked, hearing my own voice raise.

"No, no it's not. I promise. I didn't love Katherine, not really. Their similarities are what drew me to her, I was curious. But Elena is warm, and kind. Katherine was manipulative and cold hearted. I love Elena." Stefan stated

I nodded in understanding. "Have you told her that?"

"No, because when she saw the picture she took off. And then she was in a car accident. I found her car totaled and I panicked, but Damon must have found her and saved her. The only problem is I have no idea where they are. I tried to ask Bonnie to do a locator spell or something, but she couldn't access her magic." Stefan said. His explanation sent me into a whirlwind of emotions.

"I'm sorry. She was in a car accident. And you've waited this long to tell me?" I asked
him

"I'm sorry." Stefan apologized, not even having an excuse for not telling me sooner. He was just so caught up in trying to find Elena.

"Did she know before or after you two..." I trailed off, my fists clenching tightly in anger.

Stefan hesitated, rubbing his hands over his face and into his hair. "After."

I reached over and smacked him up the side of the head as hard as I could, which probably wasn't much considering he was a vampire. "Are you serious? She's going to feel like you used her. Are you stupid? Did vampirism take all your brain cells?"

"Ow, no...I didn't mean for it to happen like this." Stefan said. I could see the guilt was resting heavily on his shoulders. And as mad as I am with him right now, I need to focus on finding Elena to make sure she's okay.
