I looked at myself in the mirror and I couldn't help but smile, I looked like a goddess that just graced the earth with her beautiful presence.

My wedding dress was a beautiful gown with elegance and timeless beauty. Its bodice was crafted from delicate lace, intricately embroidered with floral motifs that cascade down to the flowing skirt.

The skirt had layers of soft tulle, each layer shimmering with a subtle sheen. A delicate train behind, adorned with delicate beading that catches the light. The dress features a low back, showcasing a hint of skin while maintaining a sense of sophistication. I wouldn't want them talking about an indecent bride would I?

Overall, the dress was beautiful and perfectly made for me. I'd have to thank the designer after the wedding.

“ Oh my gosh you look absolutely gorgeous," my friend Mickey said as she fanned herself and I couldn't help but smile.

Leave Mickey to be overly dramatic.

“ Yeah, she does look beautiful but nothing prepared me for the fact that she just returned to Italy and not even up to two months, she's getting married,” Lola said and I shrugged.

Yes, my crazy ass friends came all the way from America for the wedding.

“ I’d willingly get married if it's to a hot guy like that,” Mickey said looking dreamingly,

" Wake up Mickey this isn't Disney Land,” Jess said and Mickey pouted as she sat down beside me.

" Listen Lilian, we just want what's best for you, are you happy about this marriage?” Jess asked as they all looked at me with concern. She has always been the mom but that didn't mean I was going to start telling her about what would happen in my marriage.

“ You girls know that I cannot be forced into doing something unless I want to right?” I said,

“ Yeah, like that time when Jess forced…”

" We're not talking about that time Mickey, can you be quiet?" Jess said as she turned to Mickey who raised her hands in surrender,

“ If you say so then we're happy for you," Jess said as she hugged me,....“ Congratulations Lillian we wish you happiness in your marriage," Jess said,

“ Yes, congratulations," Mickey and Lola chorused.

A knock suddenly came on the door and Rodrigo walked in.

" Oww, see who's looking fine, hello ladies,” he said as he greeted my friends and I noticed the way his eyes briefly went to Jess before turning to me.

Hmmm, did Jess already charm him with her beautiful blue eyes? Her eyes had that power, I'm a living testimony, I initially became friends with her because I was drawn to her eyes, don't judge me.

It looks like I've got a matchmaking job to carry out. But let's finish this wedding first.

“ You look beautiful, best friend," Rodrigo said as he took my hand and dropped a kiss on the back of my hand like a real gentleman.

“ I thought I was the best friend?" Jess asked and Rodrigo chuckled,

" If you were there when she started crawling then you can be the best friend," Rodrigo said and Jess just rolled her eyes,

“ Whatever," she said,

“ Enough with the drama guys Lilly is really getting married, someone pinch me," Mickey said and Lola was about to pinch her but she glared at her.

A knock came on my door once again as the door opened to reveal my mother-in-law.

“ We'll wait outside," Rodrigo said as they all walked out of the room leaving me and Antonio's mother.

“ You're so beautiful my dear, I can't believe I finally have a daughter, you don't know how long I've prayed for this day and I can't believe it's finally here,” she said as she sat down beside me, her eyes shining with tears.

“ Please don't cry," I said as I held her hands.

“ I'm just happy darling, you have no idea," she said with a smile,

" Thank you for accepting to be part of our family, I know that my son can be such a crackhead sometimes but please bare with him, he's a good man and he's going to treat you like a princess,” I almost laughed at that but control myself,

If only she knew what her son was planning for me.

“ And thank you for accepting me, you're so sweet Mrs Gonzalez,"

“ Mrs Gonzalez?" she grasped dramatically…" you hurt my feelings, I'm your mother from now on, don't call me Mrs Gonzalez,” she said,

" I'm sorry Mom, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings, you're my Mom from now on,” I said as she tried to push back tears but was failing terribly as tears fell from her eyes and I wiped it.

Someone knocked on the door before a head peeped through the door.

“ It's time,"

My mother-in-law kissed my cheeks before she stood up and walked out of the room.

I stood up as my friends walked back into the room to help me with my dress.

I walked out of the dressing room and my dad was waiting for me as I linked my arm with his before we started walking me to the altar.

He smiled at me and I smiled back through my veil as my eyes turned to the altar where my number one enemy was waiting and I couldn't help but broaden my smile.

He was standing there at the altar dressed in a black suit looking like the angel he wasn't, he had a broad smile on his face and I'm sure it was only him and I who knew the real reason for that smile.

My father reached him and handed me to him as he helped me climb the remaining steps to the altar.

“ You know for a witch like you, you look exceptionally beautiful," he whispered for only my ears,

“ I'll take that as a compliment,” I said and he scoffed,

" Ladies and gentlemen, we have gathered today to witness the beautiful union of this lovely couples, but before we proceed, before God and man today, if there's anyone who has any reason this union shouldn't be should speak now or forever remain silent,” the minister said and if it wasn't because I was the bride I would have raised my hand. Was that permitted?

The minister looked at the people gathered waiting for someone to speak but nobody said anything.

Traitors!

“ Well, in that case, we shall begin the ceremony ,"
