“ That would be five hundred bucks ma'am," the man said and I smiled, not having an issue as I brought out five hundred bucks from my bag and handed it to him.

“ Thank you so much for your help, I don't know what I would have done without you," I said genuinely and the man just chuckled,

“ I actually feel like you're the one who just helped me, just call me anytime you need someone to tell a lie," he said and I couldn't help but laugh,

“ Of course I will…” that's a lie,..."Thank you for helping me, you're kind, I'm already late for work, I'll be getting down now, do have a nice day,” I said as I opened the door and stepped out of his old truck that just saved my life.

The truck looked like it went through world war and yet the owner refused to get it repainted.

Maybe he liked seeing it like that. But it was a good thing he dropped me at a walkable distance to the hotel.

“ Thank you so much," I said as I waved before he started his car and drove off.

I took a breath as I adjusted my hair and the clothes I was wearing then I started the walk to my hotel.

Thanks to that kind man I would have still been standing on the roads like a lost puppy.

When he had stopped to help me I didn't even care about the car, I was fucking tired, all I wanted to do was to be out of that damn road and thankfully he didn't just turn out to be my helper, he was more of my savior.

Good luck to Antonio Giovanni Gonzalez searching all around Saint Mary's hospital for me.

I couldn't help but chuckle evilly, he thought he was the only evil one, but he didn't know I was the master in the game.

I had asked the kind man who helped me to call my fiance who abandoned me on the road and went to another woman. Well, that part was just to add to my story, it could be true for all I know.

The man hesitated at first but when I showed him money, he turned out to be a very good actor. I almost believed he was the doctor if I wasn't sitting in the car with him.

I know I didn't look good nor did I look bad. Try standing on the road for more than an hour with no help and see how good it feels.

I walked into the hotel as the reception greeted me and I gave her a kind smile before walking to the elevator. I pressed the button to my floor as I patiently waited for the elevator.

I had to take a shower before I could do anything because I felt like shit.

The elevator opened and I walked out, heading to my office.

“ Hello ma'am, why do you look so…”

" Stress, I know, it's a long story Sam, please bring me coffee,” I said,

" Okay ma'am, coffee coming right away,” my assistant said before I nodded and walked to my office.

I had some clothes in my office so I didn't have a problem. I just dropped my bag and then walked to my office bathroom to take a much needed shower.

After the shower I got dressed in a black pants and a light green top. For the shoes I wore my black red bottom heels.

I had my hair covered with a shower cap so my hair didn't get wet. I just combed it and tied it up in a ponytail .

When I was done I walked out of the bathroom feeling refreshed.

I sat down on my office chair as I took a deep breath ready to start work.

I heard my phone ringing in my bag so I brought it out to see it was a call from Antonio.

Well, well, good luck looking for me.

I ignored the call as I silenced my phone.

Serves him right.

“ Are you sure she's in this hospital because we've asked the receptionist and she said nobody with that name got admitted into the hospital today?" Leo asked,

“ I don't know but that's what the man said," he said,

“ Hey, I thought you said you weren't worried, why do you look like that?" He asked me with a raised brow,

“ I don't fucking care about that woman, what I care about is her parents because they're going to fucking blame me, she left with me,"

“ Wasn't that what I was telling you," Leo said and I turned to him with a glared,

“ Can you just leave me alone, now is not the time," I said,

If she was really hurt she should be in the hospital right? Then why the fuck wasn't she here?

The caller said she asked for me.

“ Hold on a minute Antonio, are you sure she was really brought to the hospital?” Leo suddenly asked,

“ You know the type of person Lilly is,” he said and I scrunch my brows in confusion until the realization dawned on me.

“ I should have known, why the fuck didn't I think about it? Let's go,” I said and Leo chuckled as we both walked out of the hospital,

" You both need to stop this craziness and settle things over a meal,” he said and I narrowed my eyes at him and he raised his hands in surrender.

“ You suddenly sound like you're on her side rather than mine," I said as we got into the car.

“ Let's go to her office," I said as he started the car and drove out of the hospital's parking lot.

“ You're the one playing the game but she outsmarted you this time," Leo said,

“ Can you just fucking shut up or I'll kick you out of the car too," I said,

" You guys need to stop before you take things too far,” he said and I chose to ignore him.

Stop? There was no stopping.

This is beyond over, not by a long shot.
