I SAT IN MY SEAT AT the library, looking my boyfriend, trying to read his mind. i found myself trying to find a nerdy boy, but they back stab you as well. i learned that there is no such thing as loyal in la. apologizing for cheating isn't easy, but it looks pretty easy for him.
"and so.. are you okay?"
no im not okay. i picked up the white napkin off the table too dampen my tears, stood and grabbed my purse, "can you leave all my stuff in my car later?" i asked, and he nodded. i didn't wanna go home so soon, my dad would probably yell at me. who knows what he's doing with his girlfriends in there.
i walked about the library, hiding my sadness and complete dispair. it's not like we were dating for long, i just get really attached.. and he might be right back in my bed tomorrow. i saw a book a really looked, a book my mom introduced me too. it was weird, it didn't belong on this shelf, but i couldn't reach it...
until a hand with plenty rings on it reached up and grabbed it for me. she pulled it down and handed it to me. "thank you." i said, "no problem." i took a quick glance at her face- billie eilish? she was looking at me like she had another thought to spew out, but i think my reaction discouraged her.
"hi." i said, "hi. nice hair."
"me? look at you." she's way cuter in real life. ocean eyes is an understatement. those dark eyes i see in pictures were softer right here, i couldn't look away if i seriously wanted to. "you from around here?" she asked as i turned around, slowing my pace so she could keep up because i assumed she wanted to talk more by the way she looked down at me like i was all that mattered at thep moment.
"no, im a jersey girl."
"hm. la isn't showing you a good time, i can see it all over your face." she said, and i nodded, "you read me well."
"why's it so bad? your pretty."
"thanks. we should hang out sometime." it was a bold leap, i don't know why i did it.. there's no way i like her, right? i mean, like her like.. that?
"seriously?" before i could pull my wallet out, she was already handing the man her card, "stop. why'd you do that?" i giggled, "thank you so much."
"don't thank me, beautiful." she opened the door for me, "how'd you get here?"
"on foot."
"let me take you home, pretty."
"seriously?"
"ive never been more serious."
she opened the car door for me and i got inside. in the car, we talked. she told me she didn't talk about me, the way her pretty eyes bled into my soul, i almost couldn't speak.
we arrived at my house, and she looked over at me.
"kiss me?"
"no! slow your roll!" i laid a kiss on her cheek, "thanks for asking."
"of course. bye, janesa."
"bye, billie."
