Jiwon's eyes rolled heavenward as the hospital administrator announced the fixed medical intern teams. Great, just what she needed - another opportunity for her past to collide with her present.
Medical intern teams, it was a standard practice after all- work together, learn together, and hopefully become better doctors because of it. It was fine, really. She was fine with anyone. But fate, it seemed, had a sadistic sense of humor. Her gaze swept the room, and her heart sank.
Eunseok
Of all people, why him? But then, her eyes landed on Beomgyu and a spark of relief ignited. At least she had someone who got her back.
"Mr Qian kun will be your team's head" The administrator announced, the room filled with nods of approval and subtle smiles. All eyes turned to their esteemed senior, who stood tall, his gentle demeanor commanding respect. His kindness and calm nature had earned him admiration from colleagues and patients alike. Jiwon felt a surge of gratitude; having Dr. Kun as their team head was a blessing.
Kun's eyes scanned the room, his warm gaze meeting each team member's. "Let's work together, learn from each other, and provide exceptional care" he said, his voice soothing.
As Jiwon scanned the room, her mind instinctively evaluated each team member.
Jaemin - "The gentle soul" His warm smile and compassionate eyes made him the perfect candidate to handle sensitive patient cases. Jiwon noted how effortlessly Jaemin connected with others.
Sullhe - "The entitled one" Her skills as a doctor were questionable, but her family's influence had undoubtedly secured her spot.
Aera - "The firecracker" Jiwon's lips curled into a hint of a smile. Aera's bold attitude and sharp wit made her a force to be reckoned with. Their university days had forged a strong bond between them, and Jiwon trusted Aera.
Eunseok - "The enigma" Jiwon's thoughts faltered, unsure how to categorize him anymore.

"Patient 107"
Kun instructed, his voice firm but distracted as he juggled paperwork and gave orders to remaining duos of the team. Jiwon sighed inwardly, her eyes rolling in resignation. Eunseok, however, remained silent, his expression unreadable.
As Jiwon headed toward Room 107, Eunseok fell into step behind her, his presence a subtle yet unsettling shadow. His quietness unnerved her; she couldn't gauge his mood.
The hospital's fluorescent lights cast eerie shadows on the floor, emphasizing Eunseok's towering figure looming behind her. Jiwon's skin prickled with awareness, her senses heightened.
