"when I am falling down down down, you always save me"

Jiwon gazed out at the empty hospital dorm, her teammates all having departed for their shifts, leaving her to rest. A sigh escaped her lips, borne of boredom and restlessness. Taking a break was an unfamiliar concept for her; she was always on the go, never pausing unless forced to by illness or injury. Now, with time stretching out before her, she felt at a loss.

As she stood by the window, her gaze drifted outward, taking in the sights and sounds of the hospital grounds. The physical therapy had progressed well; she could walk properly now. However, her hand remained injured, a constant reminder of her limitations.

With a sudden decision, Jiwon chose to stroll around the hospital, hoping to pass the time and clear her mind. She slipped out of the dorm, her footsteps quiet in the corridor. The gentle exercise would do her good.

Despite her fatigue, Jiwon found herself at the hospital garden, seeking refuge from the chaos within. The cold winter air enveloped her, and she regretted wearing such thin clothes. She shivered, cursing her poor judgment.

As she sat amidst the snow-dusted greenery, Jiwon's gaze drifted toward the nearby mountains, their peaks shrouded in a veil of white. The serene landscape offered a fleeting respite from her troubles.

The garden, usually a haven, felt chilly and unforgiving today. Jiwon's injured hand ached, protesting the cold. She wrapped her arms around herself, seeking warmth.

Just as she began to lose herself in thought, the sound of footsteps echoed through the garden. Jiwon turned, expecting a hospital staff member or perhaps a lost patient. Instead, she saw Eunseok approaching, his eyes locked onto hers.

"Seems we keep running into each other."

Jiwon muttered under her breath, Her gaze drifted forward, taking in the breathtaking view. The afternoon sun cast a warm glow, its soft golden rays filtering through the mountains. The serene atmosphere was a stark contrast to the tension between them.

Eunseok settled beside her, his eyes scanning her injured hand and legs. Jiwon's gaze followed his, a hint of self-consciousness creeping in.
"they're healing" she replied curtly, eager to downplay her vulnerability. Eunseok nodded, his expression unreadable.

Then, in a surprisingly awkward gesture, he removed his jacket and handed it to her. Jiwon's confusion deepened. "Huh?" she questioned, her eyes widening as he placed the jacket in her lap. The warmth from the fabric seeped into her skin, a strange sense of comfort spreading through her.

"It's cold outside"
Eunseok explained, his voice low and even. Jiwon's gaze lingered on the jacket, then shifted to Eunseok's face. His expression revealed nothing, but his actions spoke volumes. For a moment, they simply sat together, the only sound the distant chirping of birds and the gentle rustle of leaves.

Why was he being so nice to her?

Jiwon's thoughts swirled as she gazed up at Eunseok, her mind echoing with a single question. Their height difference forced her to crane her neck, and for a fleeting moment, their eyes locked. She felt her resolve waver, like the ground beneath her feet was shifting.

"It's pretty" Eunseok murmured, his gaze drifting upward toward the horizon. Jiwon's confusion deepened, her brow furrowing.

"Huh?" she replied, her voice laced with skepticism. "The view," he clarified, his eyes still fixed on the distance. "Yes" Jiwon agreed, her voice barely above a whisper.

An uncomfortable silence descended, punctuated only by the sound of leaves rustling in the breeze. Eunseok noticed Jiwon's gaze drifting downward, her shoulders slumping slightly. It was unusual for them to be together, alone, like this. He wished she would initiate conversation more often.

Like she always used to

Eunseok had grown accustomed to Jiwon's former self - a bubbly, cheerful kid, always talkative and full of life. But now, he saw a kind woman, grown beautifully, yet radiating a more mature, motherly aura.

The change was striking. Gone was the carefree girl he once knew, replaced by someone who nagged at others with a worrying frequency. He'd often notice her lecturing colleagues or friends, her words laced with concern.
