Grace

"Follow me. You'll have to see this." Carol said as she led the group further through the forest.

We walked until we reached a small cabin and a man holding a baby emerged.

It was Tyreese and Judith. I smiled and sighed in relief, thankful that they were alright. I stood behind Carl and Rick who immediately ran over to Tyreese to grab Judith.

"Judith, you're alive!" Carl said happily as he held his baby sister.

"Ty?" I heard Sasha call out from behind me as she walked toward her brother.

After some people had stepped away from me, Tyreese saw me. He was in the middle of hugging his sister when he looked at me and pointed.

"Grace? You- you made it?" He said as he let go of his sister and started walking slowly towards me.

"Yeah, I did. You did too." I teared up as he wrapped his arms around me tightly.

"You saved us by leading off those walkers Grace." Tyreese said, motioning to himself, Carol, and Judith.

"She's a good one, ain't she?" Rick smiled, thankful for what I had done to save his daughter.

"Yeah well you guys saved me too. You saved us all from that horrible place." I added.

We all saved each other. That's what we did. We made sacrifices to protect the ones we love, that's what this world is like.

I thought back to all of the people who sacrificed their lives for mine, so I could keep living. Starting from the very beginning.

Otis

Jimmy

T-Dog

Hershel

I didn't know it yet, but that list was going to grow and keep growing.

We walked away from the burning remains of Terminus and along the tracks through the forest. We passed another sign reading the deceptive words

"Sanctuary for all
Community for all
Those who arrive
Survive"

"Bullshit." I muttered and rolled my eyes as I kept walking.

I noticed that Rick had stopped and picked something up so I stopped and watched him. He crossed off all the words on the sign except for sanctuary and he wrote "no" above it. No sanctuary? That sounded about right.

He turned back and chuckled lightly as I looked at him and nodded my head. To hell with those Terminus bastards.

We walked for a while until we took a break in the woods. Everyone was reconnecting with the people they had just been reunited with. I sat next to Carl who was playing with baby Judith.

I laid my head against a tree trunk and sighed.

"What is it? What are you thinking about?" Carl asked.

"How do you know that I'm thinking about something?" I looked up as I laughed.

"Cause I know you. Cmon, tell me." He said as he didn't take his eyes off of the baby.

"Sweet tea." I said as I looked up into the branches.

"Sweet tea?" He asked, a little confused by what I said.
