Chapter 40

ENTERING THE TRAINING ROOM, WE were greeted by the Obi-Wan Kenobi of this group of highly evolved Jedi-Master like Spirit Beings. Similar to those in the hearing room, what we saw with our eyes was not clearly one gender or the other and the physical form was certainly not dense flesh, blood, and bones like we lived in on Earth, and similar, but even different from our normal glorified bodies. Furthermore, what I saw was not the same image registering in Antonio's mind as their look was also shaped by the expectations of the person viewing them.

Not unlike the ubiquitous framed picture image of Christ we all think of when Jesus' name is mentioned—a man, Caucasian, mid thirties, long hair, beard. When I looked at our trainer, Jorus, I saw a Star Trek Mr. Spok figure—tall, lean, in the prime of an ageless life, dark hair, and penetrating eyes, gateways to a loving eternal soul, but this was a rendering without a clear gender, yet still beautiful in every way. Antonio saw a kind of Virgin Mary, definitely giving off a female vibe yet without the typical physical signs associated with a woman.

We stood there stunned for a moment, taking in this vision of existence on a higher plane. Jorus noticed and broke the spell.

"Greetings Fallon, Antonio, and welcome to our fellowship of believers dedicated to helping each and every soul-bearing being in our greater world reach their full spiritual potential. As you've been told, it is my responsibility to prepare you for the challenges you'll face as one of us working out in the field. I understand the Masters have instructed you in the basics of using your new powers as Master apprentices, so I thought we would begin at the beginning—shifting into and out of a physical form. Do you have any questions before we begin?" Jorus queried, as he moved to a specially designed area of the training center dedicated to this skill and waved for us to follow.

"This won't hurt, will it?" I squeamishly asked as we walked along; a silly question really, but I was feeling a tad apprehensive, like facing a doctor with a long, intimidating vaccine needle for the first time as a kid.

"The only thing that might hurt is your ego, that is, if you're particularly fond of your glorified body.

Antonio, as ever a tad OCD about getting everything just right, even before that just right was needed, asked a follow-up question.

"If you weren't told, we have a particular first mission in mind involving child slave labor, just in case that will allow you to tailor our practice session to that type of undertaking."

I had another cart-before-the-horse impulse with my next query.

"Antonio picked out the goal for our first mission from something he saw in the news, but after we take care of that problem how will we know who to help considering there are so many in need?"

I was beginning to feel overwhelmed with empathy, first for the child laborers, but also extending to all who suffer needlessly throughout creation. I just couldn't hold back a waterfall of tears.

"Fallon, what's wrong?" Antonio was quick to ask while also enveloping me in his strong, reassuring arms.

"Don't worry Antonio, this is normal and you should know the same thing will eventually happen to you. Among the new powers you've been given during your transformation blessing was a heightened sense of caring about the suffering of others. And not just caring, you'll now be networked to souls throughout the universe. That two-way channel will allow you to send them Mana, but also receive information from them, including where they are and what they're going through. By the way this is the same network that processes prayers," Jorus shared, a more-than-fascinating tidbit.
