CHAPTER 61

ANTONIO'S CHARTERED JET HAD us landing at the restored and expanded LaGuardia Airport. Cruising parallel to Manhattan during our descent, I couldn't help but notice how the once magnificent skyline had changed as a result of the extensive earthquakes during the Time of Troubles. The New York City area was hit with three severe quakes that took down or severely damaged any building over ten stories.

Sadly, the Empire State Building didn't survive and because of its age and the extent of the damage, wasn't being rebuilt. Over forty other skyscrapers, though, were repairable and they were clearly visible because of the scaffolding that completely surrounded each structure. There was still debris scattered around the perimeter of Central Park as well as three crisscrossing fault trenches that were in the process of being filled in.

Without much traffic congestion, Antonio's cab from the airport had us walking into the United Nations complex in plenty of time for a business breakfast with policy makers. Their opening salvo of concerns had nothing to do with traditional religious issues.

For them, this wasn't about the specific dogmatic points of view of the many different religions that had sprung up once again during this Kingdom Age period. The Creator never did have a problem with diversity. The original Bible was provided as a tool to promote spiritual growth, but for most of human history it has not been widely available, so the Creator made sure the important laws and principles have always been written in our hearts.

It has always been the Creator's Plan that anyone born anywhere in the world, during any period in human history, would be able to water the seed of the divine spark that is planted in each human soul. All it takes is a humble heart to recognize the imprint of a Higher Power responsible for the magnificent creation we see all around us and in us.

With that awareness alone, the seed will germinate. A seeking heart will continue to be guided down the Path to righteousness. The principle and power of Love is the transcendent gift we must first absorb, then, learn to give to each other unconditionally. All the other details of religious practice fade to insignificance. Then, are there advantages to being born a Jew, a Christian, a Muslim, a Buddhist, a Hindu, as opposed to growing up in a tribal society in some wilderness part of the world—not really as far as your eternal soul is concerned.

As to what happens when we die—the critical question that most established religious claim to have the one and only answer to, all you need to know is that when your body dies your soul lives on. Stop worrying about what your life in Spirit will be like.

Dying is like a child moving from a home with loving parents to living with loving grandparents in another country. Any issues can be worked out in relationships grounded in Love. The Creator is patient, understanding, and prepared to wait until we are ready to embrace the principle of Love. We must strive to attain the same state as the Creator's soul—detached from expecting a certain outcome regarding any matter of concern.

How else do you think God can put up with our stubborn free will and the endless mistakes we make on our spiritual journey to become more like the Creator—yes, even to become divine ourselves.

This is a great mystery, but one which we will all eventually understand.

ANTONIO OPENED THE MORNING MEETING reviewing an agenda of pressing issues that had been brewing for years.

"You all know why we're here. We've been blessed and challenged to walk in the footsteps of the Teacher's disciples, carrying the Gospel, the Good News, the Message from the very soul of the Creator given to mankind for our time. You're here representing the world's believers because each of you has been inspired to write one of the books of our Kingdom Age Testament, as have I. Once again, the Creator has provided us with a blueprint for our time, one which will lead to a utopia on Earth, if only enough people with embrace the principles clearly laid out. As in the past, we've lost our way, which is why we've all gathered here. I've spoken with Fallon and she's agreed to be our spokesperson when we address the United Nations General Assembly in three days. Coincidentally, that day marks the 10-year anniversary of the Final Solution ceremony at the Roman Colosseum when the Creator spared Fallon and showed a mighty hand dealing the Guardian's plan a fatal blow. What I'd like to do is have each of you tell us about the issue you most want the General Assembly to address during the coming year. Notes will be taken and these will be the key points Fallon will stress when speaking to the representatives. Will Nadar Dakwar, our Kingdom Age Brotherhood representative from the Middle East, begin please?"
