The Teacher: Part III Day of Declaration, Chapter 49

CHAPTER 49

THE TIME OF TROUBLES HAD BEGUN, as foretold in the Book of Revelation. Every Christian growing up in the Before Times learned the basics of what might happen. The big question mark was pasted at the end of...when would it happen? As we were taught, the signs were there, easy enough to recognize for those who knew to look for them.

The Guardian's Legion's worldwide news service, CNN Global, put the facts out there, not at all connecting what was happening to God's prophesies possibly being fulfilled. There were now daily reports of earthquake disasters on land in populated areas large enough to destroy property and take lives. When earthquakes struck in the ocean, the results could be even more devastating.

When an off-the-charts magnitude quake centered in Indonesia hit, it triggered a 50-foot Tsunami that spread across the Pacific in all directions killing over a million coastal dwellers and destroying everything in its path as it roared onshore before racing inland. That was followed by a long-overdue 9.5 on the Richter Scale lurch of the San Andreas Fault that this time ripped California in two as a large coastal section was dragged 1,000 feet northwest into the ocean in just a few minutes. The earth's major geological faults had been set in motion also triggering a series of volcanic episodes.

Iceland's massive Katla volcano was the first to let loose generating a melt-water flow the size of the Colorado River and carrying large blocks of ice from the glacier, breaking through bridges and dams and destroying property on a catastrophic scale, shredding practically all signs of civilization in Iceland. The thick, dangerous ash cloud blanketed the skies of England and Europe, closing airports and ended up temporarily cooling the climate the rest of the year. Crops suffered leading to a serious food shortage for all the mortals living there. Following Katla, Mount Vesuvius erupted.

Spewing lava and ash for three months, this time Mount Vesuvius buried Naples instead of Pompeii, blanketing the city and encasing its people in a deadly cocoon of hot ash. With no warning, and with the death zone extending for hundreds of miles around the volcano, there was no chance to escape. Life slowed to a crawl for a few days in Rome as several inches of ash built up, but the city survived. North America was next.

The massive Yellowstone Caldera, a supervolcano that had been dormant for thousands of years, was awakened by the powerful seismic waves rumbling going on throughout the earth's crust. The entire world would feel its affects for months as the ash cloud was driven 60,000 feet into the upper reaches of the atmosphere where the particles would collect and block out the sun.

Because of a century of unabated global warming, the polar ice caps had already completely melted and the rising ocean levels were devastating coastal regions all over the globe. The fault lines along ocean bottoms were also opening channels to the earth's interior. The hot gasses and lava that escaped did the most global-warming damage by heating up the ocean water far faster than the greenhouse gasses generated by man burning fossil fuels. The result, there was a tremendous amount of energy that was now available to be released into hurricanes, cyclones, and tornadoes.

TWISTERS WERE NOW FORMING ON all the continents with temperate climates and because of global warming that zone was extending close to the former Arctic Circle. Climatologists had to create new categories to register their enhanced fury. The EF rating system for tornadoes now extended from 1 to 10, with an EF-10 clocking winds at over 500 miles per hour and a diameter of five miles. When an EF-10 went through a community, often staying on the ground for 10 miles or more, nothing would be left. There were similar enhanced effects on hurricanes.

There was no longer a hurricane season, because they were forming all year round, and like the tornadoes the rating system now went from Category 1 all the way to 10. Hurricanes have always had their energy fed by the tropical ocean water, but now the waters were excessively warm and this over-heated water extended much farther north. When a Category 10 hurricane made landfall, 300 mile-per-hour winds and 300-mile-wide eye meant a path of destruction such as the world had never before had to endure. And, because of their massive superstructure, often rising high up into the atmosphere, they were able to move inland without dissipating their energy until days later.

As if all of this devastation wasn't enough to test the will to survive of the mortals still left on earth, lack of food, water, and any type of regular secure routine led to outbreaks of cholera and other deadly diseases. On top of that, the next phase of the Time of Troubles was about to begin.

THE PLANET EARTH, OUR SOLAR SYSTEM, our galaxy, our universe go through cycles of change—birth, evolution, death, and rebirth. At the center of our galaxy, the Milky Way, is a massive black hole. Like the rings around Saturn, there is an invisible gravity ring extending out from the black hole through the galaxy. This plate-like gravity belt will rip and tear on the crust of any planet that travels through its powerful force field.

Approximately every 13,000 years, a cycle known and written about by ancient peoples, our Earth enters this high-gravity plane and the results are the kinds of geologic and meteorological upheaval described in the Book of Revelation. There have been relatively advanced civilizations in the distant past wiped out by the effects of this devastation.

We think of ourselves as being so modern with our computers, flat panel televisions, and smart phones. Archeologists have unearthed once-functioning batteries from cultures that existed many thousands of years ago. The archeological relics of the ancient civilization of Atlantis may have been discovered under water. If so, during a previous Time of Troubles the section of earth's crust where Atlantis was located could have descended below the level of a nearby ocean. Of course, there have been other catastrophic incidents that have plagued the earth.

It's believed that the age of the dinosaurs ended after a large comet struck the earth, throwing so much ash and debris up into the atmosphere that the sun was blocked for a long enough period that much of the vegetation the dinosaurs fed on died. The devastation described in the Book of Revelation could also be caused by an impact event like the one that ended the reign of the terrible lizards on earth. While earthquakes and horrific weather are the obvious observable signs of the Time of Troubles, some of the effects are more subtle, but no less upsetting to the sense of normalcy and routine we all come to expect from our daily lives.

If you live in North America, the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, always has and always will—isn't that right? Again, ancient records have documented the reverse. As part of the effects of going through the 13,000-year cycle, the earth's magnetic poles could shift. One day the world might wake up to a sun rising in the west, but that's not all. In God's providence, and because of the threat from the Guardian, internal transformations were taking place in the Time of Troubles the world was currently going through.

Children were being born with telepathic powers. For mortals, their two-stranded DNA was being enhanced to four strands to provide them with many more exciting new traits such as; the ability to see in the dark by navigating with sonar, an enhanced sense of smell that will outperform that of dogs, and eyesight keener than an owl's. Their intuition will rival the knowledge gained from their senses. Using their spiritual energy, they'll be able to heal themselves and others. While their DNA is being enhanced, Disciple 4-stranded DNA was being degraded, eliminating most of their powers eliminating their competitive edge with the remaining mortals on earth.

The Mayans, most well known for their calendar which both ends one and begins a new cycle just after the beginning of the 21st Century, also understood what was driving the great 13,000-year period of transformation. They recognized that significant changes took place in humans as well as Earth during this period although they had no understanding of the mechanics of modern genetics. Unique to our Time of Troubles, time was speeding up.

The changes were affecting everyone, like how you feel when the moon is full, only to a much greater degree. It was affecting our sleep cycles, our relationships, and the feeling that there just wasn't enough time to get everything done. The standard 24-hour day had been compressed into 16 hours as the earth's heartbeat revved up.

AND SO, JUST AS THE ANCIENT ADVANCED civilization of Atlantis was swallowed up by the sea in a chain of geological events triggered by the Milky Way plane of gravity the earth was entering, all of the current political and territorial boundaries of civilization were also being torn asunder.

Although physically, the Disciples were relatively unaffected by the early effects of the Time of Troubles, other forces, even more sinister as far as they were concerned, were at work causing the Guardian's global empire to spiral into disorder and decline.
