CHAPTER 48

WE CAME UP AGAINST A DISCIPLE and using the gifts the Creator gave us, prevailed! Our success gave everyone the courage to keep going. Back in the catacombs, the feeding station Christians were being tended to, fed, washed, clothed, and allowed to rest after their ordeal. One of our Christian rebels had received the gift of healing, so a touch from her hand and the open wounds where the catheters were removed disappeared in minutes. We now had the confidence to begin planning a strategy to turn back the influence of the Disciples once and for all, first in Rome, then, the world.

Unfortunately, the world seemed to be going through its own internal war of the elements—wild weather and geological upheaval on a global scale. We had two immediate problems, however, we had a Disciple in our custody and ten drones who'd been turned into mindless automatons. It had been such a long day, so we all tried to get some sleep before facing these challenges. I fell asleep quickly enough, but in the middle of the night I heard a muffled ringing in my backpack.

I had my iPad in there, but I turned it off after the last time I added new material to my Book of Fallon. The noise woke some people up who started grumbling, so I dug through my backpack and pulled out the iPhone—it had come to life! It was Gloriana and she left me a text!

Say this simple prayer over a Disciple and their souls will be free to turn back to God. Say it over a drone and their mind will be whole again.

Dear Heavenly Father, we ask you to reach inside and restore the vitality of mind and innocence of soul lost at the evil hands of the Guardian's Disciples. In the Creator's name we pray, Amen.

I couldn't believe what I was seeing, but since everyone had gone back to sleep I didn't make a fuss about it. This sure was a twenty-first-century God who was now clearly on our side in this fight.

In the morning we'd put this miraculous iPhone prayer to the test!

THE DRONES HAD ALL REMAINED EXACTLY as we left them the night before, sitting on the floor, leaning up against the wall in the large central gallery. The captured Disciple was still in custody, further evidence that all of his powers were gone. I quickly told Antonio what had happened during the night, just before he was about to convene the morning prayer meeting. He was thrilled to hear the news!

"By now you all know that our raid of the Vatican Feeding Station was a success."

Everyone in the gallery broke out into applause and shouts of "Praise God!"

"Yes, the powers God has given allowed us to prevail against a formerly invincible enemy. Gathered among us are the first believers condemned to be slaves in a feeding station who have ever been rescued!"

Again, those in attendance could not contain their joy and expressed it with another resounding round of praise and applause.

"Also, our prisoner, a Disciple, is the first to ever be captured. Indeed, these have all been wonderful developments, but now Fallon has just informed me of something to confirm that God's blessings are boundless. Last night she was visited by an angel and given a prayer with the power to restore the minds of the drone slaves, but that's not all, if a Disciple is willing this prayer will allow them to give up the Guardian and turn to God!"

This time those assembled were stunned into silence. They'd all suffered so much. So many of their loved ones had become victims of the Guardian's cold, calculating plan to eliminate the practice of faith as well as all believers. It was true, many of the victims were still alive, but the rebels had long ago given up any hope their family and friends would ever have their former lives back.
