"Ashley!" I yelled as I ran into the hotel lobby. I dropped my bag and jumped on Ashley. He picked me up and spun me around. I laughed and held onto my best friend tightly. He put me down in front of him.
"Hey, Jade," I smiled and he grabbed my hand, twirling me around a couple times.
I laughed and said, "I'm so happy to be here with you."
Ashley smiled, "Me too."
My phone buzzed and I checked it. It was Blake.
I had met Blake about two weeks ago at Mona's. We've been texting all the time now and I had to admit I had a little crush on him.

Good morning, beautiful!! Well, it's probably not morning in San Diego, but it is here so, again good morning, beautiful.

A smile crept onto my face as I read the text and a smirk on Ashley's. I groaned as Ashley cooed, "Aww, does wittle Jade-y have a boyfwiend?"
"No," I replied instantly.
"You're lying," he said.
"Nuh-uh," I said.
"Yes-huh," he argued.
I sighed as Ashley smirked, "Give me the phone."
"No," I laughed.
He raised his eyebrows and I stuffed my iPhone in my black bra, sticking out my tongue.
My best friend scoffed, "Yeah, because that'll stop me."
I shrieked as Ashley started to reach for me. I ran through the lobby and turned a corner, running into someone or better yet, someone.
"I-I was, I'm sorry," I muttered from my sitting position on the floor.
I heard a faint chuckle and looked up to see Andy. I froze. I hated being around him. He made me feel different, in a bad way. Well, at least I tried to convince myself it was a bad way, simply because of the very good reason that his beautiful name is tattooed on my sister's shoulder. It was a tattoo, a permanent tattoo. Just like Andy and Juliet's love. It was permanent and permanent things cannot be tampered with, especially not by me. There was no changing how much Juliet loved Andy. However, there was no changing how much I loved Andy either. No, no, no, Jade. You do not love him. He's taken by someone, who happens to be your sister. Your loving, amazing big sister who has always been there for you no matter what, who would be so heartbroken if she were to find out about these, sick, sick feelings you have for the boy she loves. I had to shake away those feelings. They had to go. Their presence must cease to exist.
My eyes flickered from the floor to Andy's bright blue eyes. They were filled with amusement, but there was something else lingering in his beautifully colored orbs. I couldn't figure out what that slight cloudiness in Andy's eyes meant. My eyebrows furrowed as I racked my brain for an answer. Though, none were found. Andy offered me his hand along with a goofy grin. I had a feeling that grin meant much, meant happiness, but, that grin hid much more. So many feelings stayed hidden behind Andy's award-winning smile.
I reached up and grabbed Andy's hand, causing my eyes to widen and a wave of electricity to shoot through my body at the exact moment our fingers touched. A shimmer of astonishment flashed through Juliet's boyfriend's eyes. Did he feel it too? It didn't matter. I couldn't matter. Andy and Jade could never be a thing. It could never work.
Andy pulled to my feet and waited for me to control my discomposure before allowing the release of my hand. As his touch left mine, the shock fled my body, leaving me with a dull feeling, making me want Andy back. Making me crave the dark-haired boy's delicate touch on my skin once more. Andy was addicting in my eyes. He was like an illegal drug. Illegal, just like my feelings for him.
"I'm sorry. I was running from Ashley, because he's trying to get my phone out of my bra and-" I was cut off by Andy erupting into fits of laughter. I smiled nervously at the flawless harmony departing from his lips. I pursed my own and listened to Andy babble about what a pervert Ash was. My eyes were glued to the floor, as I was afraid. So afraid that if I looked at him, I'd do something I'd regret.

I masked the nervousness my body shook with by rambling on and on about Ashley's perverted ways. Jade's eyes were stuck to her shoes. I was in mid-sentence when she looked up at me. Her glistening blue eyes took my breath away, causing me to come to an abrupt stop in my dialogue about her best friend. A gentle, pale hand reached up and pushed my jaw up.
Jade giggled, "You'll catch flies, Andrew."
I nodded and gulped. Her giggle was music to my ears. It was very complex, like Beethoven's compositions. It was put together carefully of elegant notes, only made for an angel like Jade. A perfect soul who could do no wrong, in my eyes, at least. Jade in my eyes was the definition of perfection. Everything about Juliet's little sister was fascinating. She was small and fragile, frail and thin, in need of someone to shield her from all the bad in the world. Although she had probably already witnessed all the cruel people in this world. They've probably already hurt her. It infuriated me, no one was to touch her or hurt her. No one was supposed to touch her when I was not there to protect her.
Just accept the fact that you don't love Juliet. You love her sister, Andy and there's nothing you can do about it, a voice inside my head whispered.
"No," I argued aloud.
"Hm?" Jade asked.
"Oh, uh, n-nothing," I stuttered.
"JADE!" I heard Ashley yell coming around the corner.
Jade flinched back at the sound of his yell.
