getting caught by dispatch when you go shopping together (requested)

Minji couldn't help but smile as she watched you throw a few more snacks into the little cart in your hand.

Your free one was wrapped in hers so she could hold it as you walked through the store together.

"Is there anything else we need?" She asked as she threw a couple of her favorite items into the cart.

"I think that's everything. How about you?"

"No, I figured we could order takeout if you want to. It sounds better than cooking tonight."

You smiled as you watched her eyes fill with stars when they met yours.

She has a mask on to cover most of her face in hopes that neither of you would be caught here as the store is quite crowded and the girls are only continuing to soar in popularity.

Almost everywhere she goes, she gets spotted and even though she's not at all ashamed of you or the amazing almost year-long relationship you have together, she does enjoy the privacy you have together and being able to have a sense of normalcy in her life.

Plus, she only wants to protect you.

Your relationship getting exposed would mean a lot of people theorizing about you and intruding on your privacy too and she doesn't want you to have to go through that; not for a while, at least.

As you made your way to the checkout line, Minji let your hand go but only so she could wrap her arms around you and hug you from behind.

She wanted to kiss you but her mask was in the way.

As you stepped forward in line, Minji looked around to see if anyone was looking at either of you and once she saw that no one was looking in your direction, she leaned forward to speak into your ear,

"Give me a kiss."

"What about your mask, baby?"

"No one is looking, my love. It's alright. Just a quick kiss? Hm?" She asked and you didn't have to see her face to know she was pouting at you.

However, when you reached to pull her mask down, you caught a little glimpse of her pout and your heart swelled at the sight; she was just too cute.

You leaned in and put your lips on hers, causing a soft sigh to escape her mouth as you kissed.

You melted into her kiss and almost forgot that anyone else even existed as you got caught up in the loving moment together.

Neither of you knew that, by now, she'd been recognized.

A couple of people that just so happened to glance that way recognized her but they just freaked out a little to themselves.

However, dispatch didn't keep it to themselves.

As Minji pulled away from the kiss with the brightest smile on her face, she looked across the store and her heart dropped when she saw the cameras flashing.

"Oh, no," She panicked.

"What?"

She sighed and dropped her head onto your shoulder.

"Damn dispatch." She grumbled.

You were next in line and while you began to check out, she left your side to just go across the store and try to talk to them.

"Hey! Stop it. Stop taking pictures of us." She pleaded. "Please don't publish them. Please let us keep our privacy."

But the photographer just shook her head and turned around to leave the store as she looked through the pictures proudly.

By now, you were finished checking out since you didn't have too many items and you hurried over to Minji.

"Dispatch caught us?"

"Yeah." She huffed.

"I'm sorry."

She turned to look at you and wrapped her arms around you quickly.

"Don't be sorry. You have nothing to apologize for. I chose to pull my mask down, I took the chance."

"I know but now everyone is going to treat you differently. The whole world is going to know we're dating once those pictures are posted."

"I don't care. I'm not ashamed of who I am and I couldn't care less what people think of us being together. I'm in love with you and I'm proud to call you mine. I'm proud to be yours. We'll get through everything together, okay? I promise, I'm not going anywhere."

You held onto her tightly.

"Okay. I'm in love with you too, baby. We'll be okay. We have each other."

"That's all that matters."

A lot was about to change the second those photos were published across social media and different sources.

But Minji wasn't going anywhere.

She loved you far too much and she wasn't going to leave you, no matter what came of this and what people said.

As long as she can keep you safe, which she will always do her best to do, you can get through everything else together because you love each other and nothing in the world could ever change that.
