"Come on, honey! Come to mommy!" You encouraged you' and Minji's daughter, Mia, as Minji held her up and kept her steady.

She just turned one and she should take her first steps any day now.

"Go on, baby. Walk! You can do it!" Minji said but Mia just cooed.

Minji gently put her back on the floor and grabbed a couple of her favorite toys to let her play.

"Baby, are you okay?" Minji asked as she noticed the look on your face.

"Yeah. I know she's going to take her first steps when she's ready. I just worry I'll miss it."

She reached over to squeeze your knee and your eyes locked.

"I know how you feel. I worry that she'll take her first steps when I'm in the studio or practice or busy at a fansign or something. I don't want to miss it either."

You looked at Mia as she played with her favorite toys and babbled about whatever to herself.

"We won't miss it. I just know it."

"Same here." Minji smiled and leaned over to kiss you softly.

"I should go get her some more water." You said as you grabbed Mia's empty sippy cup and stood up.

Walking over to the kitchen, you were just barely out of view as you filled the sippy cup with water.

Mia looked around for you right away, her eyes meeting her mom's before she whimpered.

"Oh, honey, it's alright. Mommy's just over there getting you some more water." Minji said before scooting over to Mia.

But instead of picking her up and taking her over to you, she watched as Mia slowly moved from off her little knees and stood up.

Minji gasped and covered her mouth in shock as she watched Mia use her tiny little legs and make her way to you.

"Y/N! Y/N, look!"

You turned around in a hurry, concerned that something was really wrong judging by the urgency in Minji's voice.

But it wasn't anything bad at all.

What you saw was your little girl trying to get to you as quickly as her little legs would carry her.

"Oh, my gosh!" You said and watched Minji follow behind Mia, just in case.

But with a precious smile on her face, she walked to you and you knelt on the floor to pull her into your arms the second she was right there.

"You did it!" You grinned as you picked her up.

Minji had tears in her eyes just because it was sinking in how fast your little girl was growing up.

"You took your first steps, baby!" She said before kissing Mia's cheeks, making her laugh.

"Next thing you know, she'll be going off to college."

"Thankfully, we have seventeen years before that happens." Minji laughed. "Maybe she'll get held back a couple of grades and it'll be eighteen."

You laughed before sharing a kiss and then kissing your daughter's forehead and cheeks.

"You're growing up so fast! I know this is what we wanted but slow down a little, okay?" You spoke as you held Mia tightly, wishing she could just stay like this.
