she teases you for being short (requested)

As you finished scrolling down the page for a new recipe that you had loaded up on your phone, you muttered to yourself about everything you needed to grab to complete it.

It didn't seem like a complicated meal and you and Minji are always up for trying something new so when neither of you could decide on what sounded good for dinner tonight, you decided to make a new recipe and ended up running across this one.

Thankfully, you had everything already that you needed to make it, which saved you a trip to the store.

"That's not too bad." You said to yourself before going over to the cabinet to grab one of the ingredients for the meal.

But there was one problem - you couldn't reach it.

That's the same problem you encounter every day since you're so short and while a lot of people tease you or tell you that it's endearing, you get frustrated and insecure with being unable to reach much of anything on your own.

Minji just so happened to be coming into the kitchen to grab some water but she ended up leaning against the wall with an amused smile as you mumbled in frustration and tried to reach what you needed.

"Need some help?"

You jumped at the sound of her voice since you had no idea that she was there.

As you turned your head to look at her, you were about to answer her question with a yes because you did need help.

But then, you saw the look on her face and it just annoyed you.

Minji might not be considered super tall to some people but she's much taller than you.

She's five foot seven and you're barely even five feet, probably an inch or two under.

While you have trouble reaching for almost anything, it's no problem for your girlfriend and she loves to tease you for it.

Sure, she never crosses the line and is never mean or hurtful about her teasing.

But regardless, you hate her teasing you for being so short and you know if you tell her that you could use the help, the jokes will inevitably leave her lips in a joking manner nonstop.

"No. I've got it."

"Oh, do you?" She chuckled and watched you continue to try and reach whatever it was that you needed by yourself.

You were struggling and clearly were very annoyed about it.

"Because even on your tiptoes, you're barely tall enough to grab things from off of the counter."

"Haha, very funny." You said and she laughed.

"Oh, come on, my love. Just tell me you need help and I'll gladly help."

"I'll tell you if I need help, don't worry."

Minji shook her head and continued to stand there with an amused expression as you tried so hard to reach what you needed.

But it was hopeless - you were much too short and you couldn't deny that no matter how much you tried.

With a huff, you tried to climb on the counter but it wasn't easy to do.

So you just stormed over to the table and pulled one of the chairs away before dragging it over to the counter.

"Whoa, hang on," She said and hurried over to you. "What are you doing? That's a little dangerous, baby. I don't want you to fall and get hurt."

"I won't."

Minji didn't believe you though.

She pushed the chair back over to the table and then came back to your side to see you pouting at her.

"You're mean."

"Why? Because I was worried you'd fall and hurt yourself?"

"Yes." You replied.

"You don't need to stand on a chair or the counter to grab what you need. You have me. Tell me what you need me to get for you."

"You'll just tease me for being short."

She giggled before shrugging her shoulders.

"What am I supposed to do, baby? Not tease you? That's impossible. You're so small."

"I'm not small." You grumbled.

"Yes, you are. You're so short. Sometimes I even think you might be shrinking."

"Minji, don't say that. I'm short enough already."

She laughed before shaking her head.

"You're so cruel."

"I am not. I just love my girlfriend." She said as she wrapped her arms around you. "My very cute, very short girlfriend."

"Minji," You whined.

"How tall are you, three feet?"

"Ha ha, cute." You said before sticking your tongue out at her. "Are you going to get me what I need?"

"Do I have a short girlfriend?" She smirked as she pulled away to grab what you needed from the cabinet after you told her what it was.

"Thank you," You sighed in relief as she pulled it out and closed the cabinet doors.

You went to reach for it as she pretended as though she was going to hand it to you but she ended up holding it above her head, her arm stretched out in the air.

"Minji," You whined and stood on your tiptoes to try and grab it but you couldn't. "Give it!"

"What do I get out of it?"

"What do you want? For me to admit that I'm short? I've never denied it, I just know you'll tease me."

"Only because I love you." She spoke in a serious voice, only to smile a few seconds later and keep the ingredient high in the air. "Come on, cutie. Why don't you try to grab it?"

"I am," You said as you stood on your tiptoes again and then even tried jumping for it, only to fail.

"What's the matter? Is someone too short to reach it?"

"Yes." You grumbled quietly.

"What'd you say? You're too low to the ground and I'm too high up to hear, I think,"

You rolled your eyes.

"Yes, I said yes!"

"Okay, here you go," She grinned and went to hand it to you, only to pull it away once more. "I'll give it to you, I will... but kiss me first."

"Why? You were mean to me."

"Only because I love you and I think it's adorable how short you are." She assured with a sweet smile.

And because you know that her teasing is only out of love, you give in and give her a kiss.

"That's better." She said before handing it to you. "I'm happy now. Let me know if your tall girlfriend can do anything else to help you with, my very short but very cute girl,"

She kissed your forehead and walked to the fridge to grab some water with a big smile on her face.

And you were smiling just as big because you do know that she teases you only because she loves you and wants to have a little fun joking around and teasing you.

You felt lucky and very happy.
