"My jealousy isn't a flaw; it's a testament to how deeply I cherish what we have. Our bed is sacred, meant only for you and our little angel."

"Be in the library; I will be a little late," I texted her because it was almost time for her to get picked up, but I had some important things to do. So, I asked her to stay in the library.

I immediately got to work, putting down some signatures and checking emails.

After about 45 minutes, I took the car keys and went to pick up Lili. I knew it must be boring for her to wait, and I didn't want to keep her waiting any longer.

I drove towards her college, and soon I arrived. I parked my car and walked toward the library area, which was at the back of the college. I was heading there because I knew she must be tired, and I wanted to carry her bags.

Then I stopped in the middle because I saw Lili near a drinking water tank, sitting on her knees while playing with a cat. I smiled widely; she looked so freaking cute. She was moving her little body, playing with that adorable cat.

I walked toward her and stopped when she looked at me. "Let's go home," I said, reaching out my hand. She looked at me and took my hand, but she also picked up the cat in her arms. I took her bag.

"Whose cat is this?" I asked.

"She always roams the campus. She is so cute!" she replied.

"Yes, but now, okay, say goodbye to her; we're getting late," I said.

"No, she's coming with us," she said, leaving me in shock.

"Why, Lili?" I asked.

"I always wanted a cat, but my mom was allergic to cats, so I never had one," she said.

"I understand, but we're not getting a pet," I replied.

"No!" she shouted at me, and the other students looked our way.

"Let's go," I said, pulling her toward the parking area. I didn't want any drama, and she held the cat even tighter.

Then we reached the parking area. I stopped. There was no one around; it was silent. "Try to understand, Lili. I can't take care of this cat. I have work and many things to do," I tried to explain.

"No, no, you will take care of her! You don't need to do anything!" she replied.

"No, I don't want you to have the responsibility of a pet, plus you're still too young to care for someone," I said.

"I want this cat, and I will take care of her," she insisted.

"Lili, no," I said, taking the cat from her hands and placing it on the ground. "Let's go home now," I said, pulling her hand toward the car.
