I close my eyes and see the days,
Little footsteps running my way,
A tiny hand in mine to hold,
Her laughter, brighter than gold.
I dream of braiding hair and bows,

"Breakfast," I heard Lili say from the door while I was fixing my hair. "Bring it here. I have some work on the laptop," I said, already planning something else in my mind.

I sat on the sofa, signing some important papers, when she came in with the tray in her hands. She placed the table in front of me and was about to leave. I quickly held her hand.

"Where are you going?" I asked.

"Your brother is having breakfast. I need to serve him," she replied.

"Didn't I tell you yesterday that you're going to sit on my lap and feed me?" I said, watching her face immediately flush with embarrassment.

"Huh?" she muttered, confused. I pulled her onto my lap before she could react.

"Feed me," I commanded. She hesitated for a moment but then started feeding me with her small, delicate hands. I tightened my grip on her waist.

"Big bite," I reminded her, not letting her shy away.

Suddenly, my brother barged into the room without knocking, as usual.

"Ahvi, where's the bread?" he asked before freezing in his tracks upon seeing us.

"Oops, sorry!" he quickly ran out, realizing what he'd interrupted.

"I should give him the bread," Lili said, trying to get up from my lap, clearly uncomfortable. But I tightened my grip even more, not letting her go. I could see how embarrassed she was every time he caught us like this.

“I need to leave for office so feed me”

I get it, it's awkward for her. I could read it all over her face, and honestly, it annoyed me. Yesterday he even saw us kissing.

I'd warned him before about knocking before entering, but he still does this. He needs to understand that I’m not single anymore. If he can't get that through his head, maybe he needs to leave the house. I can't stand seeing Lili so uncomfortable whenever he sees us like this.

At night, I came home from the office as usual. Lili handed me a glass of water.
