The Morning After....
Taehyung stepped into the living room of the Jeon mansion, his sharp eyes instantly catching the figure of Jongmin seated on a plush armchair by the large bay window. The man was dressed in his usual crisp attire, a cup of steaming black coffee by his side, and a neatly folded newspaper spread open in his hands. The aura of authority around him was palpable.
“Good morning, sir,” Taehyung greeted, his tone polite but distant as he approached.
Jongmin lowered the newspaper slightly, his piercing eyes meeting Taehyung’s.
“Ah, Taehyung. Good morning. I trust you slept well?”
“Yes, thank you. Mrs. Jeon ensured everything was comfortable,” Taehyung replied, standing straight with his hands resting in his pockets.
Jongmin hummed, gesturing toward the couch opposite him.
“Sit. Let’s talk.”
Taehyung complied, settling into the seat with an air of calm confidence. He knew this wasn’t going to be a casual chat—it never was with Jongmin...

“Good,” Jongmin said, leaning back slightly. “But remember, international markets are cutthroat. A single misstep can cost a company dearly.”
“I’m aware, sir,” Taehyung replied, his tone steady. “But I don’t make decisions lightly. Every move we make is calculated to minimize risks.”
Jongmin raised an eyebrow, his lips curving into the faintest hint of a smirk. “Confident as ever. It’s refreshing to see a young man with such composure.”
Taehyung inclined his head slightly in acknowledgment. “I’ve had good mentors.”
Jongmin let out a low chuckle, setting his coffee cup down.
“I suppose I can’t argue with that. You both brothers always important ”
“Yes, hyung’s been doing exceptionally well,” Taehyung replied, clearlyproud to always mentionabout his hyung. “His focus on sustainability has resonated with a lot of consumers. He’s very hands-on with every aspect of the business, which makes a significant difference.”
“A good trait,” Jongmin said, nodding. “He’s lucky to have your father’s entrepreneurial spirit. It seems the Kim family has no shortage of talent.”
Taehyung’s expression didn’t waver, though he felt the subtle jab at his late father’s legacy.
“Thank you. We’ve always valued hard work and dedication.”
Jongmin leaned forward slightly, resting his forearms on his knees.
“And what about my son, Jungkook? How is he adjusting to the responsibilities of being married to someone of your stature?”
Taehyung paused for a moment before replying.
“He’s doing well. Jungkook has his own unique strengths, and I believe he’ll grow into his role naturally. He has a way of brightening any situation, which is invaluable.”
“Hm,” Jongmin muttered, clearly unimpressed with the vague praise. “I hope you’re not letting him get too comfortable. A man should know the value of hard work.”
Taehyung’s gaze sharpened slightly, though his tone remained calm.
“Jungkook may have a different approach to life, but he’s not lacking in drive or determination. He’s simply...unconventional.”
