The day I'd been working toward had finally arrived-college graduation. The months since my last encounter with Filip had been a blur of exams, projects, and preparation for the future. As I stood in my cap and gown, surrounded by classmates and the energy of the ceremony, I couldn't help but reflect on how much had changed.
The relationship with Filip had simmered in the background, unresolved but not forgotten. We kept our distance, both trying to figure out what came next. Today wasn't about the past, though; it was about moving forward.
As I walked across the stage to accept my diploma, I felt a mix of relief and pride. My future was wide open, and for the first time in a while, I felt like I was in control.

From the back of the crowded auditorium, I watched Rena walk across the stage. She looked radiant, confident-completely at ease in a way that made my heart twist. I had stayed away like she'd asked, giving her the space she needed. But that didn't mean I wasn't thinking about her every day.
Seeing her now, I realized how much I missed her, but I also understood that Rena was on her own path. I wasn't sure if I fit into her future anymore, but I had to respect her journey.
As the ceremony ended, I stayed back, letting her enjoy the moment with friends and family. I wasn't ready to step into her life again, not yet. But someday, I hoped we'd find our way back to each other-when the timing was right.
