Chapter 36: A Night to Celebrate
Filip's POV
As soon as we stepped out of my family's mansion, I felt a weight lift off my shoulders. Rena had done it-she'd passed their test. I couldn't be prouder. I glanced over at her, seeing the relief and exhaustion in her eyes, but also that spark of determination that I admired so much.
"You were incredible," I told her, my voice soft. I meant every word. "I'm so proud of you."
She gave me a tired smile. "It was intense... I didn't know what to expect."
I pulled her close, needing to feel her in my arms. "Now, we celebrate. Just us."
I took her to a small, hidden restaurant I'd always loved, the perfect escape from the chaos of my world. Tonight was about her, about us, and I wanted to show her how much she meant to me.
As we sat down, I ordered champagne, raising my glass to her. "To you, Rena," I said, my voice full of affection. "For being the strongest person I know."
She blushed, looking at me with those beautiful eyes. "And to you, Filip. For believing in me."
The evening felt perfect-quiet, filled with laughter and a sense of relief. As I watched her across the table, I realized again just how lucky I was. She had proven herself not just to my family, but to me, too. No matter what came next, I knew we could face it together.
