Time had passed since Christmas and Ivy had began to relax a lot more. Sure, she was still wary and not entirely trusting of basically every person at Hogwarts, however when it came to the five Slytherin students who never stayed away from her, she was now able to relax and joke around with them.

Ivy had different bonds with all of them. With Blaise Zabini, she felt the most comfortable around. She was able to hold conversation alone with him without it being awkward and he was also able to respect moments where she wasn't in the mood to talk. She had also gotten to learn about his mum and her many rich husbands who mysteriously end up dead once marrying her. He was a pretty chilled out guy and Ivy found herself not minding his presence.

With Davina Balfour, Ivy still teased the girl about their lack of friendship but it was mainly just a joke. Although the girl still came on too strong, Ivy managed to find some tolerance for her presence. Sometimes. Ivy knew a lot about the girl as she never did stop talking and Ivy even found herself telling things about herself too. Not too much, though.

Theodore Nott Jr. was a weird one, Ivy realised. When the others were around, Theo was loud and cracked a lot of jokes (mainly crude and inappropriate ones) and would include Ivy in random conversations. However, when they were alone, he would go quiet and became reserved which Ivy didn't mind but she had also noticed he was the same in class too. Clearly, only feeling comfortable enough to talk when being around his friends. Ivy did sense that he was warming up to her, though. And yes, with the certain whispers of a dark-skinned boy and a blonde-haired boy, Ivy did win against him in their chess match. Unlike Ron though, he was impressed and congratulated her.

There was also Daphne Greengrass who seemed to tolerate Ivy's presence but wasn't too friendly with the girl. They would both make sly remarks towards each other but were never offended by it. They hadn't had any proper conversations, either, but they did talk here and there. Usually snarky words and sarcasm.

And lastly, there was Draco Malfoy. Ivy didn't know what to think about the boy or their relationship. They definitely weren't friends, they both agreed on that. But there was times that they both found themselves being friendly towards each other. They would disagree a lot and butt heads and Draco was very often rude about her brother and practically everyone outside of his friend group but Ivy wasn't too bothered by it. She would only speak up against him if he crossed a line. For the most part, they had respect towards the other despite the occasional mockery every now and then. He never said anything bad about her, at least not to her face, and she found that neither did she. And of course, there was the whole surprise behind his Christmas gift.

Ivy and Harry were also fine with each other, talking as casual whenever they saw each other. Ivy did still sense that the boy was bothered, or maybe just confused, by Ivy being sorted into Slytherin and she didn't blame him, knowing what he had been told by the Gryffindors and what he had seen himself from Malfoy and some other annoying Slytherin students. She was thankful he hadn't brought it up.

He had told her that Dumbledore had spoken to him about the Mirror of Erised- which backwards spelt Desire- and how they shouldn't get attached to it as he was going to get rid of it soon. It was sad that Ivy couldn't continue seeing the beautiful and heart-warming faces of her parents but at least she got to see them once.

They boy and his two friends had also continued their stupid mission of trying to figure out who Nicolas Flammel was, which Ivy wanted no part off. The three idiots didn't seem to understand that as Hermione would constantly come to her to tell what she had learned or whatever she would say, and Harry would force her to join them on their side quests.
