When Ivy awoke, she was not well rested like she had hoped to be. Thankfully, the curtains around her bed were still closed so no one would see her awake but it also meant she had no idea what time it was. She glanced over at Twilight who nudged her head at the board she left on the end of the bed.
Ivy sat up and squinted at the board, looking over everything she had written. She blinked, "Tom Riddle is obviously the heir." Twilight looked up at her and she asked, "Why did that take me so long to realise?"
She laid back down as Twilight walked over to her.
"He had to have been the one who opened the Chamber fifty years ago. And he must've known about Hagrid and his pet spider, and framed him. But what happened to him? How is he capable of talking to Harry through his diary and showing him visions of the past? How would he open the chamber now if he's not here? Only the heir can actually open it, right?"
"Ivy," Daphne's voice called out. Ivy froze for a moment before peeking her head out the curtain. "Who are you talking to?"
Ivy's wide, green eyes flickered between a confused Daphne and concerned Davina, "Nothing." She tugged the curtain further and hid away.
Daphne blinked and looked at Davina, "What did I ask?"
⚡️
The raven-haired girl sat in the common room, completely unaware of her surroundings. She didn't know who was sitting with her or what they were saying, her mind was focused solely on the chamber and the heir.
She leaned her head back on the sofa, staring up at the ceiling.
Could Ginny have opened the chamber? But how, if she wasn't the heir nor did she speak Parseltongue? Could Tom Riddle have controlled her through the diary? Almost... possess?
"Ivy?!"
At the loud and panicked voice, Ivy looked forward to see Astoria run up to her, her face fallen.
Ivy sat up and furrowed her brows before Astoria said,
"It's Ginny. She's been taken into the Chamber."
"The Weasley girl?" Blaise quickly inquired.
"What?" Davina gasped which indicated to Ivy that they all must've been sitting there, listening.
"What do you mean 'taken'?" Ivy quietly asked, wondering how this could have fit in with her theory.
The blue-eyed girl shook her head and swallowed, "Ginny's missing, and there was writing on the walls, again. It said 'her skeleton will lie in the chamber, forever' or, or something like that. Lockhart's been sent to go save her.
"What, that fraud? I guess her skeleton really will lie in the chamber forever," Theo mocked.
Daphne slapped his arm, "Don't be so insensitive."
Ivy looked back at the ceiling in thought. Ginny had to have been the one to open the Chamber. Tom Riddle had to have done something to her, i.e., possess/compel her, which led her to open it. Maybe to even speak Parseltongue, possibly without knowing. It would explain why she would've felt paranoid, scared and guilty.
