The Slytherin common room was alive with the low hum of conversation, flickering candlelight casting long shadows against the dark green walls. Ivy sat on the emerald chaise by the fireplace, one leg tucked under her and the other rapidly bouncing as she finished up writing her diary entry, seemingly unbothered by the events of the day.

Draco, on the other hand, was anything but indifferent. He leaned casually from behind against the armrest of the sofa she sat on, arms crossed, a smirk playing at his lips. "So," he began, breaking the silence between the two, "I assume we're taking this seriously, Potter?"

Ivy didn't even look up, ignoring that his face was right beside her. "Hmm?"

Draco rolled his eyes and dropped down onto the sofa, beside her, leaning closer as Ivy slammed her diary shut. "Our bet," he pressed. "You can act indifferent all you like, Ivy, but we both know you want to win."

She finally looked at him, her leg no longer bouncing, one brow arching. "Oh, do we?"

Before Draco could respond, Theo and Blaise strolled over,

Theo flopped down onto sofa opposite them, "If you two are going to flirt, can you at least do it somewhere less public?"

"Where's Daph and Davina?" Blaise asked, brows furrowed.

Ivy sighed and got up, "Went up already. And now, if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna join them to get away from this one."

As Ivy walked to the girls staircase, Twilight following, Draco got up after her.

"Come on, Potter, we haven't properly decided the how we're gonna do this."

The black-haired girl briefly glanced back, shocked. "Are you seriously following me to my dorm?"

"Yes, this conversation isn't finished. It hasn't even begun," He argued.

Blaise and Theo shared a look before running after them. Hearing their footsteps, Ivy rolled her eyes.

"Ahh! What are you guys doing here?" Davina yelled in surprise, sitting up in her bed. Ivy strolled over to her bed in the far end, setting her diary aside.

Daphne looked up from where she knelt before her trunk, "Ew! You're boys! Get out!"

"Well, no shit, Daph," Theo muttered as he raised an amused brow.

Draco casually plopped down on the foot side of Ivy's bed, causing the girl send him an unimpressed look.

"So, how are we planning this thing?"

"Planning what?" Davina asked, ignoring how Theo lay horizontal at the end of her bed, facing Ivy and Draco.

Daphne had whacked Blaise who made himself comfortable on her bed, fluffing her pillows as he lay on his stomach. The blonde gave the others a passive look, "Merlin, are you still talking about the bet?"

"Obviously," Draco nodded. "We need to make it official." He  passively leaned forward so his hand could reach for Ivy's diary. She quickly slapped his hand.

"Fine. How do you suggest we do that?" Ivy sighed.

Theo leaned up on his elbows, grinning. "Firstly, we're gonna need ground rules. A proper system. We can write a contract. A bet like this has to be official, otherwise, what's the point?"

Ivy rolled her eyes. "Oh yes, God forbid we engage in friendly competition without a full legal document."

"Pass some parchment and a quill," Theo instructed to no one in particular as he sat up. As Draco helped himself to Ivy's things from her desk, getting what was requested, Ivy noticed Daphne take a seat beside Blaise, the two sharing a look that raised suspicion in her.
