Hey y'all.......... how you doin? 👀
I'm very sorry. I have no reason to give you for my VERY late update. I got lazy. So much has happened. I turned 19, got a kitten, finished (&passed) first year of uni, bed rotted. Felt pure peace and happiness, then crippling depression followed right after. Now I'm alternating between the two. Started writing about 15 other fics and struggled to return to this. Alas, I have returned. I missed my babies, so enjoy this extra long chapter with a little something at the end.

Dumbledore's voice now echoed through the Great Hall.
"Well, the Goblet is almost ready to make its decision," He announced calmly, though a current of anticipation hummed beneath his words. "I estimate that it requires one more minute. Now, when the champions' names are called, I would ask them to please come up to the top of the Hall, walk along the staff table, and go through into the next chamber where they will be receiving their first instructions."
Ivy sat and watched impatiently with the Slytherins, the others all sitting next to or around her. Their group was unusually quiet - no teasing, no side comments - just a shared, impatient stillness as the Goblet's flames flickered blue.
The flames became an intense red and Dumbledore caught the parchment. "The champion for Durmstrang will be Viktor Krum."
Everyone clapped and Ivy looked down the table and watched Viktor get up and walk to his headmaster before heading to the chamber.
Once the cheering died down, the second parchment flew out. "The champion for Beauxbatons is Fleur Delacour."
Everyone clapped again, especially Theo who stood and whistled which earned him an eye roll from the girls and laughs from the boys.
Once she had left, the third parchment flew out. "The Hogwarts champion is Cedric Diggory."
The Hogwarts students all went crazy as they cheered for the boy, even the Slytherins were applauding loudly for him.
"He's quite handsome," Daphne muttered, sticking her head out to get a better view of him.
Ivy nodded and muttered, "You should see him up close." Draco and Davina gave her an odd look. "What?"
'Excellent!' Dumbledore called happily, 'Well, we now have our three champions. I am sure I can count upon all of you, including the remaining students from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang, to give your champions every ounce of support you can muster. But in the end, only one of you will go down in history. Only one will host this chalice of champions, this vessel of victory- the TriWizard Cup!"
Dumbledore pointed in the direction of the trophy and students gasped as the cloak blew off and revealed the cup in all its glowing blue glory. Everyone applauded and cheered.
The professors' demeanours began to change, and it slowly became apparent to everybody what had distracted them when Dumbledore whipped around.
Ivy's gaze was locked on the Goblet, her back straightening. Something was off. The blue flames within the Goblet had turned a fierce red again.
Quiet gasps and mutters broke out across the Great Hall, everyone watching carefully. Ivy's fingers twitched.
A long tongue of fire shot into the air, and from its tip, a blackened scrap of parchment fluttered out, drifting into Dumbledore's waiting hand.
He caught it and glanced at the name, "Harry Potter... Harry Potter?"
Dead silence.
Ivy's head snapped toward her brother, her heart stopping.
