TWO EXPRESSIONS

“If that amuses thee Princess, then I could always make that facial expression for thee.” Victoria said.

“Thy art back to thy self again Victoria, try to enjoy the creation sometimes! You’re still a woman aren’t you?” Julie said.

“If female condition doesn’t suit me, why should I act as one?”

“What thou art mean?”

“I am a lord knight thy highness. My femininity shouldn’t interfere with my duties as a soldier and citizen of Saint John.”

“But thou art considering flowers beautiful and elegant?” Julie tried to grin.

“Yes, but…”

“Hold it! Yes! Is enough for me! Thou art still a lady!” Julie laughed.

(Stares upward while thinking) “Fine, I gave up to thy highness’ argument.”

Julie’s POV

Though I spent a week in the future with sir Elmo, my non-existence here in Saint John was never felt because Sir Francesco sent me back here just a few hours after I left this place. Though I am not able to comprehend the possibility of seeing myself… wait is it possible? To be in two places at the same time? Well… Sir Francesco can do it… Moving on, when I got back, I saw sir Francesco painting the sleepy Victoria and her absurd but funny facial expression. I learned that when she sleeps, one of her eyes is half open and her tongue sticks out. She really looked like a dead horse to me. After we left, Sir Francesco gave us Victoria’s portrait in exchange for the fruits we bought.

“This is really shameful.” Victoria opinionated.

“Very knightly rather.” Julie fibbed, “You must keep that. Sir Francesco is no ordinary man. You’re lucky that he painted you.”

Victoria blushed.

“Princess! Princess!” Thomas shouted from his horse.

“Thomas! Calm down!” Julie ordered.

“The King wished to speak with thee your highness. Madame Victoria, your presence was requested too by the King and the other Lord Knights.” Thomas exclaimed panting.

“Why? What happened? Sir Thomas?” Victoria asked.

“I’ll tell thee when we reach the chambers.” Thomas exhaled.

“I see, Lets make haste, time is of the essence.” Julie ordered.

At the King’s Chamber

“Father.” Julie said as she kissed her father’s cheek, “Thy art looking for us?”

“Yes Julieanne. Sit beside me.” Manfred requested.

“Now that Madame Victoria and thy Highness Julieanne are present, I think we shall proceed.” Lord Balthus said.

“Master Archer Balthus, you told us that the Turks cut off our trading routes with the Indians. How accurate is this?” Grimhold asked.

“Hold it. Sir Balthus you are saying that the Turks are making their move again?” Julie asked.

“Exactly thy highness. My scouts were slaughtered by Prince Wilhelm’s men last night. They sent us a hawk to deliver us this blood stained crest of the archers of Saint John.” Balthus explained.
