"Keep your eyes on the stars, and your feet on the ground." That's what my mother says,
Success is not about greatness it's about hardship...

Adhyay's pov

We entered the company, and as I made my way to my cabin, everyone bowed to me and greeted me with "Good morning," to which I replied with a curt nod.

As I settled in my chair, just then there was a knock on the door

"Come in"

"Good morning sir, we are ready for the staff briefing!" said Dhruv

We both nodded and walked to the conference room, where Dev briefed the staff.

as we entered everyone stood up making me settle down as the meeting began,

"What's the plan for today?" I asked

"We are all set sir we just need to check on a few details about the client's Expectations" answered Dhruv

I've consistently asked Dhruv to address me by my name instead of "Sir." Still, Baba Sa has always insisted on the formal address, believing that maintaining a professional boundary is essential for successful work-family dynamics.

The relationship between me and Baba sa and Kaka sa is similar to the boss and employee dynamic. They are the directors responsible for handling committee arrangements and making decisions, while we are focused on ensuring the smooth running of the company.

"What's the budget criteria?" I asked the finance team

"It's 270 cr, sir" answered Devi

"What would be division?" asked Baba sa

"He priorly mentioned it as 50% of the Total," said Devi

to which I gave a questionable look to Dhruv "??"

"We will be collaborating on the project with a partner. "To which Dhruv answered

"And who, may I ask, is our esteemed Partner?"I asked

"We currently lack the answer." Said Dev

"We are well aware of the cliche, but rest assured, we have already made the necessary changes." Said Dhruv to which I was satisfied

"Sir, the Hemersons have announced our collaboration partner," said Rajat, entering the conference room with a tense look.

I found it surprising to see him there, as I had specifically instructed him to go directly to the venue. Nevertheless, he is indeed helpful. Rajat has been an incredibly supportive, hardworking, and intelligent secretary for the past seven years since I started working. Despite being a year younger than me, he has been an invaluable asset to the team. He's as reliable as my right hand, always working efficiently, and I truly value that.

"And who is it?"Questioned Kaka sa

"The Oberoi Groups!" he declared

The Oberoi group is ranked just below the RR industry; well, The enduring friendship between Mr Oberoi and Baba Sa, which began in college, has undoubtedly been positive; that's when I met Abhimaan his Son!

I felt a sense of joy knowing that I would have the opportunity to work alongside an old friend of mine! I truly admire Abhimaan for his intelligence and the thoughtful way he makes decisions and choices regarding his work.

"Absolutely, Dilip and I were an excellent team, and I am certain that you will continue to uphold that successful partnership!" said Baba sa which made me look at him.

With that, it was time for us to leave for the venue. Baba and Kaka left from there, moving to their respective cabins, while the responsible employees and I made our way towards our vehicles to reach the venue.

Dhruv, Devi, and Dev settled in my car, where Dev took the Driver's seat, making me shift to the passenger seat, while Dhruv and Devi sat back!
"Bhai sa, will ll be good right? "Asked Devi, nervousness visible in her voice.
As I answered her,

"Do you trust your brothers?"

"I do!" she replied

"Do you trust your work?"

"Ummm hmmm I did it well vaise!" she said

"Then everything is good!" I said smiling at her through the rear mirror.

We arrived at the Hemersons building after a 25-minute drive. The building stood tall and imposing, hinting at the important discussions and decisions that awaited us inside.
As we entered moving towards the conference room someone was standing to which Mr Hemerson addressed as 'my child' whom I thought was his employee, a girl in her 20s tall, confident, and jolly stood in front of him, she was elegant and Beautiful, she was too good to be a mere employee! I was lost in the way she was speaking, they both were speaking fluently in Italian as I heard their conversation'

"Ti sei preparato bene, figlio mio?"(Have you prepared well, my child?)

"Non ti deluderò mai, signore!"("I will never let you down, sir!") she said,

"Sforzati di rendermi orgoglioso di te."("Strive to make me proud of you.)to which he replied!

"Tutto il meglio"(All the very Best)he said

Finishing their conversation his gaze turned towards me as he gave me a confident smile.

"Good Morning Mr. Hemerson!"I said

"Ohh Good Morning Mr. Ranawat!!" he replied

As we settled in, some people bowed slightly in anticipation, while others stood by attentively.

"Meet your collaborators Mr. Ranawat and Mr. Oberoi!"

What was going to happen about the deal?

will it be okay to fall for a mere employee?

was it ok if a king was admiring his fellow staff?
