--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Meera's POV
Lying in Adhyay's arms felt like the safest place in the world. His warmth, his scent, his love—it was all I ever needed. As I traced slow patterns on his chest, I could feel his heartbeat, steady and strong, grounding me in this moment.
I tilted my head up to look at him, my fingers brushing through his hair. "Mujhe yakeen nahi hota ki humari shaadi ko itna waqt ho gaya, aur ab hum..." (I can't believe it's been so long since our marriage, and now we...) I trailed off, my free hand resting on my baby bump.
Adhyay's gaze softened as he placed his hand over mine. "Aur ab hum ek naye safar par hain, ek naye pyaar ke saath," (And now we are on a new journey, with a new kind of love,) he said, pressing a tender kiss to my forehead.
A shiver ran down my spine, but before I could get lost in the emotions, I felt a little kick from inside me. My eyes widened in surprise.
"Adhyay! Junior ne kick mara!" (Adhyay! Junior just kicked!) I gasped, grabbing his hand and placing it on my bump.
His expression transformed into sheer wonder as he felt it too. "Mera beta... ya beti?" he murmured, his voice thick with emotion. "Tumhe bhi excitement ho rahi hai humari filmy love story dekhne ki, hai na?" (You're excited to see our filmy love story too, aren't you?)
I giggled, running my fingers over his stubbled jaw. "Pata hai, jab main pehli baar tumse mili thi, mujhe laga tha tum bade arrogant ho," (You know, when I first met you, I thought you were so arrogant,) I teased.
Adhyay smirked. "Aur ab?" (And now?)
I grinned mischievously. "Ab toh tumse jaan se zyada pyaar karti hoon," (Now, I love you more than my own life,) I whispered.
His gaze darkened, and suddenly, the teasing mood turned into something deeper, more intense. He cupped my face, his thumb caressing my cheek. "Meera... agar tumhe kuch ho jata na, main jeeta hi nahi," (Meera... if anything had happened to you, I wouldn't have lived,) he said, his voice breaking slightly.
I swallowed hard, feeling a lump in my throat. "Par hum yaha hain na... tum, main aur humara junior," (But we're here, right? You, me, and our junior,) I said, my voice laced with love.
He leaned down and kissed me—slow, deep, and full of emotions. I sighed into his lips, my hands fisting his shirt as he pulled me impossibly closer.
"Adhyay..." I murmured, breathless.
"Hmm?" he hummed, trailing soft kisses down my jaw.
"Mujhe bhook lagi hai," (I'm hungry,) I said, biting my lip to stop myself from laughing.
He pulled back instantly, blinking at me in disbelief before bursting into laughter. "Tumne iss romantic moment ko bhook ke liye ruin kiya?!" (You ruined this romantic moment because of hunger?!)
I pouted, making my eyes big. "Tumhare junior ko bhook lagi hai," (Your junior is hungry,) I said innocently.
Adhyay groaned dramatically. "Mujhe pehle samajh lena chahiye tha ki mujhe tumse koi competition nahi junior se milne wala hai!" (I should have realized earlier that my competition isn't anyone else but junior!)
