Adhyay's pov

Today was the Haldi ceremony, and later in the evening, the wedding. I knew Meera wasn't able to fully enjoy the wedding festivities, but I was doing everything I could to make sure she could partake in all the moments she could. Right now, my wife was getting ready.

Ruhaan, as stubborn as his mother, had already managed to convince Kabeer and Saurabh to help him get ready, dragging his uncles along with him. I, on the other hand, was ready and waiting for my beautiful baby's mama.

Just as I was lost in my thoughts, the door to the closet opened, and there she was. Meera stepped out, draped in a stunning yellow saree, radiating beauty. Her face was glowing, and her presence lit up the room. She walked towards me, and before I could even process what was happening, she plopped herself down on my lap, making me groan.

"Meera!" I said, slightly flustered. "Bacha! Dheere! I wasn't ready! You could've fallen!" I said, trying to steady her with a protective hand on her waist.

"Oops, sorry!" she giggled, her laughter like music to my ears.

She was in her second trimester now, her belly partially visible, and though she was glowing with that maternal radiance, it was clear to anyone who looked closely that she was pregnant. The sight of her made my heart swell, but at the same time, I couldn't help but feel a little nervous.

"Come here, I got you," I whispered, pulling her closer and resting my forehead against hers.

"Well, let's go! We've got a Haldi ceremony to attend," I said, trying to keep things light, but her smirk told me she had something else in mind

"Well, let's go! We've got a Haldi ceremony to attend," I said, trying to keep things light, but her smirk told me she had something else in mind.

"What would we have done if we didn't have one?" she asked, her smile turning sensual, and I immediately knew where this was headed. My stomach flipped, and I could feel my ears turning red. She was loving every bit of it as she leaned in closer, whispering into my ear, her voice low and teasing.

"The babies miss their Daddy," she whispered, her breath warm against my skin. "They say their Baba is looking damn hot."

I tried desperately to suppress the blush rising to my cheeks, but I was failing miserably. My heart raced, and I couldn't stop the goofy smile that spread across my face. She knew exactly how to get to me, and right now, I was helpless to her charm.
