Adhyay's pov
The morning light filtered softly through the curtains, casting a warm glow across our room as Meera and I got ready for work. I couldn't keep the small smile off my face as I watched her, standing by the mirror, tying up her hair with an ease and grace that I found completely captivating. She didn't know it, but even the simplest things she did have this way of drawing me in.
I buttoned up my shirt, clearing my throat a little to get her attention. "Meera," I began, trying to sound casual, though my heart was racing with excitement for what I was about to bring up. "I've been thinking..."
She turned, eyebrows raised in that gentle, curious way she always did when I was about to share something. "Hmm? What are you thinking about?"
I took a step closer, leaning against the edge of the dresser as I watched her. "Well, we never really talked about our honeymoon plans, did we?"
She looked a bit surprised at first, her cheeks turning a faint shade of pink. "Oh," she said softly, a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "No, we didn't. I guess we just got busy with... everything."
I chuckled, nodding. "True. But I was thinking it's about time we give ourselves a break, something just for us." I reached out, tucking a stray lock of hair behind her ear. "I want to take you somewhere special."
She looked up at me, her eyes sparkling with interest. "Where are you thinking?"
"Anywhere you want," I replied, smiling. "Whether it's the mountains, the beaches, or even a quiet little town where no one knows us... I just want us to go somewhere we can relax and just be together."
She bit her lip, thinking. "The mountains sound beautiful. Somewhere cozy, where we could have quiet mornings, maybe even a place with a fireplace..." Her face lit up with excitement, and I felt my heart do a little flip. Seeing her like this, happy and carefree, was all I wanted.
"I can arrange that," I said, a grin spreading across my face. "Somewhere secluded, maybe in the hills? Where we'd have all the privacy we could want."
She laughed softly, looking a little shy but clearly excited by the idea. "You've really thought this through, haven't you?"
"Maybe a little," I admitted, shrugging. "But honestly, I've been wanting this time with you, Meera. Just us. No work, no distractions... just you and me, making memories."
She stepped closer, her hand resting gently on my chest. "That sounds perfect, Adhyay. I'd love that."
I reached down, taking her hand in mine, feeling the warmth of her fingers against my palm. "Then it's settled. I'll take care of everything. All you have to do is say yes."
"Yes," she whispered, smiling up at me with that look in her eyes that made me feel like the luckiest man alive.
"Good," I said, leaning down to press a kiss to her forehead, lingering there for a moment. "I'll take you somewhere so beautiful, you won't want to come back."
She laughed, the sound filling the room and making it feel even warmer. "I think anywhere with you will be beautiful," she replied softly.
I watched her for a moment, letting her words settle in my heart. She had no idea how much she meant to me, how much happiness she brought into my life. This honeymoon was just a start—a chance for us to make memories, to deepen our bond, and to enjoy each other in a way that we hadn't yet had the chance to.
"So," I said, pulling back slightly, my hand still holding hers. "Are you ready to face the day, Mrs. Ranawat?"
She smiled, squeezing my hand. "As long as you're with me, Mr. Ranawat."
