Meera's pov

As I settled into bed, my mind buzzed with anticipation for the sangeet. The excitement of the ceremony mixed with the nerves of marrying Adhyay made it hard to find sleep. I lay there, replaying Chachu's words in my head, reminding myself that I just needed to be myself.

The sun peeked through my curtains the next morning, illuminating my room and chasing away the shadows of doubt. I jumped out of bed, feeling the thrill of the day ahead. After a quick shower and some breakfast with my family, I slipped into the gorgeous lehenga my family had chosen for me. The vibrant colours made me feel like I was wrapped in a sunset.

"Wow, Meera! You look stunning!" Bhai sa, exclaimed as I twirled in front of the mirror. His eyes sparkled with pride, and I couldn't help but smile back.

"Thanks! I just hope I can dance as beautifully as I look," I said, fluffing my hair in front of the mirror.

"Trust me, you'll outshine everyone there," he replied, his confidence in me bolstering my own.

With a few final touches and a spritz of perfume, I felt ready to embrace the night. The excitement in the house was palpable, with family members buzzing around, preparing for the event. Laughter and chatter filled the air, and I was caught up in the energy as we made our way to the palace for the sangeet.

As we arrived, the palace was adorned with colourful lights and decorations, a vibrant celebration of love and togetherness. I stepped out of the car, my heart racing as I took in the scene. The sound of music filled the air, and I could see families mingling, the atmosphere buzzing with joy.

"Let's find Adhyay!" I said, nudging Bhai

Together, we made our way through the throngs of guests, my heart fluttering at the thought of seeing him. As we entered the grand hall, my eyes scanned the crowd, searching for that familiar face.

"Over there!" Bhai sa pointed, and my gaze landed on Adhyay. He looked incredible in his traditional attire, his hair slightly tousled, and a warm smile gracing his face as he spoke with his family. My breath caught in my throat; I felt a wave of affection wash over me.

I approached him, trying to play it cool. "Hey there, Mr.Ceo," I said playfully, my lips curving into a smile.

"Hey, Miss Ceo," he replied, his eyes lighting up as they met mine. "You look beautiful."

"Thanks! You're not too bad yourself," I teased back, feeling a warmth spread in my chest.

We shared a few lighthearted moments, laughing and teasing each other. It felt nice to finally be able to relax and enjoy each other's company without the weight of expectations hanging over us.

"Are you ready to dance?" he asked, extending a hand towards me.

"Only if you can keep up," I challenged, and he chuckled, taking my hand.
