Adhyay's pov

Today was the mehendi ceremony, a celebration buzzing with colors, laughter, and the scent of fresh henna in the air. Ruhaan, ever so curious and full of energy, trailed after Meera like a shadow, bombarding her with endless questions about every ritual. She, with all the patience in the world, answered each one, her face glowing with maternal love and joy.

I sat off to the side with the boys—Dhruv, Dev, Saurabh, Kabeer, Siddharth, and Abhimaan—engaged in light-hearted banter, but my eyes kept drifting toward Meera. She sat in the center of the women, surrounded by Parnika, Shivani, Devi, and Saira, all of them laughing and chatting as the mehendi artists worked their magic on their hands.

Meera looked stunning in a green anarkali, the color rich and vibrant, complementing her glowing skin. Her hair cascaded down her back in loose waves, adorned with delicate jasmine flowers. She had an effortless grace about her today, a quiet confidence that made it impossible to look away.

Ruhaan tugged at her dupatta, eyes wide with excitement.
"Maa! What's next after this? When do they dance? Do I get mehendi too?" he asked, his voice a mix of curiosity and eagerness.

Meera laughed, her eyes twinkling as she knelt down to his level. "Mehendi is for the ladies today, prince. But you can dance all you want, I promise."

Ruhaan's face lit up, and he spun around, already practicing his moves, making everyone laugh.
