Adhyay's pov
A few hours later, we landed at a secluded island destination Rajat had managed to book for us—a place far from the buzz of the city, where we could finally let down our guard. The air was warm and salty as we stepped off the plane, with lush greenery and sparkling waters in every direction. I watched Meera take it all in, a smile spreading across her face as she looked around.
"This is... incredible," she whispered, turning to me with a look of pure wonder.
"Only the best for my queen," I replied, taking her hand and leading her toward the private car waiting to whisk us to our villa.
As we drove through winding paths lined with tropical trees and blooming flowers, I caught glimpses of the ocean through the foliage. It felt surreal, like we'd been transported to our own little paradise.
When we arrived at the villa, Meera gasped. The place was nothing short of stunning: a beautiful, open space with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the beach, the white sand only a few steps away from our doorstep. Inside, everything was designed for privacy and luxury—a spacious suite, a private pool, and even an outdoor lounge area for us to enjoy the sunsets.
"Adhyay..." Meera turned to me, her expression filled with appreciation and awe. "You really went all out."
I smiled, taking in the happiness on her face. "Well, I wanted to give you something you've never had. You've done so much for everyone else, Meera. Now, it's my turn to give you the world—without any interruptions, without any responsibilities. Just us."
She wrapped her arms around my neck, her eyes holding a glimmer of excitement and tenderness. "I don't even know what to say. Thank you."
I leaned down, capturing her lips in a soft, lingering kiss, one that spoke more than words. She responded with the same intensity, and for a moment, it was as if the world around us disappeared.
Later, as the sun began to dip lower in the sky, painting everything in shades of amber and gold, we walked down to the beach. Meera's laughter filled the air as we raced each other down the sand, the warm waves washing over our feet.
When we finally settled down, sitting side by side on the shore, she nestled her head on my shoulder, her hand slipping into mine. The sun was nearly gone, leaving a brilliant splash of colors across the sky. It felt like the world had quieted just for us.
"This is perfect, Adhyay," she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper. "I don't think I've ever felt so... free."
I kissed the top of her head, holding her close. "That's all I wanted, Jaan. Just for you to feel at peace."
In that moment, I knew that all the planning, the secrecy, the anticipation—it had been worth every bit of it. Here, in this little slice of paradise, we were finally able to just be ourselves, away from everything and everyone.
