Author's pov

As the family gathered in the expansive living room, laughter and chatter filled the air. Everyone took their seats, except for Meera, who was guiding Parnika to a comfortable spot near her. The Shekhawats looked around, clearly impressed by the grandeur of the Oberoi Mansion but equally captivated by the warmth in the room.

Just then, the Ranawat family entered, led by Baba sa and Maa sa. Their arrival was accompanied by an air of grace and quiet authority.

"Hum thoda late ho gaye, maaf kijiye," Baba sa said with a slight bow, addressing the Shekhawats. (We're a little late, please forgive us.)

"No problem at all, Rana sa," Mr. Shekhawat replied respectfully, standing up and bowing deeply. The entire Shekhawat family followed suit, showing reverence towards Adhyay, who stood beside Baba sa, a quiet but commanding presence.

Adhyay gave a slight nod, his gaze softening as he glanced at Meera, who was beaming beside Parnika. Meera's father, Dilip Oberoi, quickly took over the introductions.

"These are the Ranawats—our extended family. And this," he gestured to Adhyay, "is Rana sa, my son-in-law."

As introductions were made, the Shekhawats' eyes widened when they realized who Adhyay was. "Rana sa ko pranaam," they said in unison, bowing respectfully before him. (Greetings, Rana sa.)

Adhyay, ever the gracious leader, simply nodded with a slight smile. "Aap log yahan hamare mehmaan hain, formalities ki zarurat nahi," he said, waving a hand dismissively. (You are our guests here, no need for formalities.)

Parnika's eyes widened in astonishment. "Ranisa and Rana sa?!" she murmured under her breath, glancing at Meera and Adhyay.

Before she could process further, a whirlwind of energy burst into the room—Ruhaan. He sprinted across the living room and launched himself at Abhimaan, clinging to his leg. "Abhi!" he shouted gleefully, his little voice echoing through the hall.

Parnika's confusion deepened. "Abhi?" she whispered, looking at Abhimaan with wide eyes. "Is he calling you... Abhi?"

"Yes," Meera chimed in, unable to hold back her laughter. "That's Ruhaan's nickname for his favorite uncle."

"Favorite uncle? I thought..." Parnika trailed off, glancing between Ruhaan, Abhimaan, and Meera, clearly trying to connect the dots.

"Oh! You thought Abhi was short for Abhimaan, right?" Dev interjected, smirking as he caught onto her confusion. "Classic mix-up."

"Pura Bollywood scene ho gaya," Dhruv added with a mischievous grin. (This turned into a full Bollywood scene.)

Parnika's cheeks flushed as she realized the misunderstanding, but she soon joined in the laughter.
