As the weeks go by, I spend more time with Clara. To my surprise, we get along really well. We bond over our love for music, even though she’s not a musician herself. She appreciates the creative process, and it’s refreshing to have someone who sees the beauty in what I do without being involved in the industry’s chaos.
One evening, after a long day in the studio, Clara invites me to dinner at her apartment. When I arrive, the smell of food fills the air, and Leo greets me with a wide grin.
“Lila! We’ve been waiting for you,” he says, ushering me in.
As we sit around the table, the warmth between us feels like family. I catch a glimpse of something I’ve always wanted—a group of people who truly care about each other, who support and uplift one another. It’s a feeling I haven’t had in a long time.
As the night goes on, I watch Leo and Clara interact, the subtle glances and shared smiles that speak of a deep connection. They’re perfect together, and I’m happy that Leo has found someone who understands him so well.
At one point, Clara turns to me with a soft smile. “You’re a big part of his life, you know. I’m really glad we’re becoming friends.”
I return the smile, feeling a warmth spread through me. “I’m glad too.”
