One day, I receive a message from Clara. She’s loving life in Paris and invites me to visit her.
“I miss you,” she writes. “Come see the city with me. You’ll love it here.”
The idea of visiting Paris is tempting, especially with how much I’ve missed Clara. After a few days of consideration, I book a flight and make plans to visit her for a week.
When I arrive, Clara is waiting for me at the airport, her face lighting up when she sees me. We embrace tightly, and for a moment, it’s like no time has passed at all.
The week we spend together is magical. Clara shows me the city, takes me to all her favorite spots, and we talk for hours about everything—our lives, our dreams, the future.
It’s exactly what I needed, and as I board the plane back home, I feel a sense of renewal. Clara may be in Paris, but our friendship is as strong as ever.
