As Enzo carried me down the stairs, his arms wrapped securely around me, we spotted Sophie in the kitchen. She looked up, raising an eyebrow.

"Hey, where are you guys going at this hour?" she asked, curiosity lacing her tone.

“Ice cream,” I replied, still cradled in Enzo’s arms.

“At this hour?” Sophie’s expression was a mix of amusement and disbelief.

“Yes,” Enzo answered for me, a grin on his face. “She actually cried for ice cream.”

Sophie shot me a look, one I couldn’t quite interpret. “Seriously, Elena? With everything else going on, you cried for an ice cream? Those cravings are hitting you hard.”

“Hey,” I replied, smiling. “I’ll explain everything tomorrow, but for now, I really just need an ice cream.”

Sophie shook her head, a slight smile tugging at her lips. “Alright. At least he’s taking care of your cravings. Looks like you two might’ve sorted out your issues, anyway.”

“I’ll think about that,” I replied with a smirk, “but right now, I need my ice cream.”

“Want to come with us, Sophie?” Enzo asked, glancing back at her.

She waved us off. “No, you two go enjoy. Bye, Elena. Take care, darling.”

Enzo settled me in the car before sliding into the driver’s seat.

“So, where to, baby?” he asked, glancing over with a playful glint in his eye.

“Anywhere you take me,” I replied with a grin, “as long as it ends with ice cream.”

He chuckled, leaning over to plant a soft kiss on my forehead. “You’re really craving it that badly, huh?”

“Yes, and if you don’t want me to get on your nerves, you’d better drive fast,” I teased.

“I’m all yours, tesoro. I’ll gladly let you get on my nerves,” he said, smirking as he drove off. A short while later, he pulled up outside an ice cream parlor, the neon lights casting a cozy glow as he parked.

Inside the parlor, I ordered the largest ice cream tub they had. As I took my first bite, Enzo watched me with a look of pure amusement.

“You’re really going all out, aren’t you?” he teased, smiling as I scooped another spoonful.

I shot him a playful glare. “Hey, I earned this.”

He laughed softly, clearly enjoying the sight of me digging into the ice cream like a kid.

“You know,” he said, his gaze warm, “we’re already near the beach. How about we sit there for a while?”

My eyes lit up, and I nodded eagerly, managing to mumble, “Good idea,” around another bite.
