The next morning, as the sunlight streamed through the window, dappled his face and hair with a prism of light, Finn slowly opened his eyes. He yawned and rolled over, pleasantly enjoying the softness of his pillow and the warmth of his blankets, only to realize that he was sleeping alone.

He looked around the room, realizing that he was actually in his own bedroom, not his Mae's and that he was sleeping alone. So he quickly jumped out of his bed and made his way to his Mae's room where he knew his mothers were still sleeping. Quietly, he tiptoed open the door and threw himself onto the bed.

"Mommy, Mae! Wake up!"

When there was no immediate response, he repeated. "Wake up, Maaaeeee!"

He shook them both as he pulled the cover off of them. Freen opened one eye and was drawn to gratitude and love. Becky had put an arm around her son, pulling him under the covers.

"Mommy, wake up na ka. The sun is up, it's getting late!" Her son said.

"Let me sleep, angel baby..." Freen heard Becky speaking in a hoarse, sleepy voice. Her eyes were still closed as she snuggled her face into her son's neck.

Finn kissed her once on the top of her head before he spoke again. "Mai, Mommy, no more sleep na. Wake up!"

Freen loved seeing the closeness between the two. Before Becky, Finn had never shown so much affection to anyone but her, and now Becky was going to have to share their boy's affection. Not that she objected to that, if anything, it was all she would ask for at that moment.

As if Finn could read her mind, he crawled over to Freen's side of the bed and kissed her as well.  "Ma–"

Freen sat upright before her son could say more. "I'm awake, I'm awake na." She said, receiving giggles from her son.

"Baby ka, why are you up so early?" Freen asked, pulling him onto her lap as she brushed his hair.

"We're going to the zoo, remember? You promised last night na." He looked at his Mae with his big brown puppy eyes.

Before he could answer her, they heard a raspy voice interrupt them.

"We are?" Becky asked as she tilted her head to look at Freen and their son, her voice filled with confusion.

"Cai, Mommy. Did you forget?"

"I guess..." Becky said, rubbing her eyes and squinting so she could see them clearer.

"Get up now. We need to get ready, Mommy!" Finn groaned, pulling on Becky's hand to help her up.

"Give me a minute to get up, baby."

"Aaaarr Mommy...!" He whined like the child he was.

"You're going to take a shower first na?" Freen said. "Mommy and I will get ready right away. When you're done, we're going to have breakfast, okay?" Freen ordered as she pulled a hair tie from the nightstand to put her hair in a ponytail.

"Mae kub...!" Finn groaned, "We don't have time for breakfast, I want to go to the zoo now!"

Freen sighed at her son's impatience. But when she opened her mouth to speak, Becky interrupted her.

"Finn luk, listen to your Mae na? You have to take a shower first. Mae and Mommy will get ready too, then we'll have breakfast together, okay?" She said, and as if by magic, Finn immediately complied.

He nodded, "Fine, but can we hurry up, please?"

"Ka, baby." Becky gestured her son out of the room.

Freen swung her legs over the side of the bed and reached for her son's hand to give him a quick kiss on either side of the cheeks. "We love you na, baby, now go."
