DAY TWENTY FIVE: KEY

AU: RED DAWNS

[SABRES POV]

I had a large from on my face, glaring at the humanoid(player-noid?) that stands infront of me. Not that he could see it, I wouldn't let him take off my blindfold. He walks closer once more, and I press my back against the quartz walls, ready to fight if need be.
I watched silently as he stepped towards me, holding out a bottle.

I glared at him before swiftly taking it. I didn't trust this mad scientist- professor red I had heard? I really didn't care right now.

I brushed my fingers over the glass, staring at the gray-blue liquid inside. No name appeared like normal. If it was harmful... he would've just splashed it on me, unless it only works if I like.. drink it or something. I hesitated, removing the cork from the bottle and sniffing it. It was..odd.

YOLO!!

I chugged the bottle, it tasted HORRIBLE. The taste was.. familiar yet unfamiliar.
I coughed and hacked before putting away the now empty vial. I stuck out my tounge, narrowing my eyes.

" That tasted disgusting. "

" SO YOU DO SPEAK!! WONDERFUL TO KNOW!! "

I thought back to the taste of the potion. The color...

I brought my arm up- startled by how fast I moved.

...Did this man.. give me.. a swiftness potion?
Chat.....

I grinned, wiping my mouth. I looked the professor in the eyes.

" Hm... I wonder if it just doesn't woRK- "

He yelled out in surprise as I swiftly ran past him and towards the door, energy and speed now flowing through my veins. Great. He was smart enough to close the door..

"ASSISTANT!!"

I looked to the side of the door, seeing a locked door. I stared at the professor, who held both hands up in a surrender type gesture. I grabbed his wrist and snatched the key from him, shoving the key into the doors lock.

The door opened and I ran out, past the robotic humanoid that was named.. Assistant?

And out I ran. Both the professor and assistant chasing close behind. Adrenaline and a swiftness potion.. interesting combo.
I practically threw myself up the stairs, trying to get out and FAST.

I froze when I saw a similar being to the Professor infront of me, a dark red coat with ruby red accentts and a gold crown embroidered with jewels resting atop his short red hair, he stared down at me with light red eyes, shock painting his face. I stared at him, and he stared at me.

I held the key in my hand tightly, glancing to see the assistant closing in. I looked around, seeing the bars connected to the wall. I vaulted myself up, leaping off the metal bars and bouncing off the opposite wall, before leaping over the figure who blocked my path. The humanoid let out a surprised yell as I ducked into a roll.
I had dropped the key, but swiftly grabbed it once more. I was NOT going to leave that to him to lock me or some other poor soul up. I couldn't remember who I was! I barely remembered my name- and I would find time to remember it later.

"HEY!! GIVE ME THAT CELL KEY-"
The professor yelled.
I debated for a moment, before shaking my head, popping the golden key into my mouth and crushing it with my teeth, swallowing.

They looked on in horror.

" That tasted horrible.."

" WHAT THE FU- "

Suddenly- a dart was now sticking out of my neck.

I stumbled forwards, now in a daze, and..

Wow. When had the floor gotten so close?
