Hyunjin's pov:

I had completely expected the love show...but why was I nervous?

My gaze drifted to Felix, sitting beside me in the passenger seat, staring out the window. He broke the silence. "I know it's a short drive, but we need a believable backstory. You know, for when they start asking questions." He turned toward me, his expression both serious and...a little uncertain?

"Alright," I replied, giving him a small nod. "I already know your favorite color, favorite food, hobby, inspiration, and music taste," I said, glancing over. Felix's eyes widened.

"How do you know all that?" He stared at me, his face softening with curiosity.

I shrugged. "I notice things. Now, what do you know about me?"

Felix gave a thoughtful pause, looking back out the window. "Pretty much the same, really." He turned to me, a sly smile creeping onto his face. "But I have an idea for our whole 'how we met' story."

"Let's hear it."

He shifted slightly in his seat. "Since we acted together in My Stubborn Prince, let's say we knew each other a little before that but never really talked. I was searching for investment ideas, and you were looking to invest...we had a few meetings, and over time we clicked. But," he added with a smirk, "we only confessed during filming."

It made sense. Actually, it made perfect sense. "You're pretty good at this," I said, meeting his eyes just for a second before I turned back to the road.

He grinned, leaning back against the window. "Thanks!"

The rest of the drive passed in bursts of random conversation. Felix eventually pulled out his phone and gasped, showing me the screen.

"Hyun, look at this!"

"Wow..." I murmured, half in awe. "Top three, huh? We better not mess this up."

He nodded, and we went over our story a few more times until it felt like second nature.

Eventually, I pulled into the hotel parking lot and went around to open the door for him. He stepped out with a soft smile, and we intertwined our hands as we made our way toward the grand back entrance. The production must have gone all out—this was definitely a luxury setup.

I glanced around, already spotting a few other couples. Six in total, much more than I'd expected. Some of them looked familiar from TV or events, others were strangers. But when we met their eyes, they smiled, and a few gave small waves. However, Yumi, the host, didn't look pleased to see us.

And as if the cameras hadn't already unnerved me, a reporter was live-streaming, capturing every couple's introduction. One slip-up and it's forever out there.

The reporter smiled, microphone in hand. "Since we've already welcomed the other couples—Team JiYul, Team JinWon, Team HaeMin, Team MinSeon, Team ChanRin, and Team RaOn—let's give a big welcome to Team HyunLix!"

Applause echoed around the room, adding to the hum of excitement and tension.

The reporter looked at each couple. "Alright! Since everyone is here, let's do a quick introduction. Tell us who you are and how you met—just a little background for the audience."

the claps were enough to make everyone's heart race with anxiety whether it was their idols or a test for their love.
