Chapter 37

Felix woke up feeling unusually groggy, his body heavier than usual as he blinked against the sunlight spilling into the room. He stretched slightly and winced at the soreness lingering in his muscles.

he threw the blanket aside and got up barely on his own. he went to the bathroom and took a shower before going downstairs for breakfast.

"Good morning," Hyunjin said softly, setting the plates on the table. "How are you feeling?"

"so tired...but better after showering" Felix replied as he sat down and pulled the plate towards him as he waited for Hyunjin to sit down too.

"That's because I wore you out last night," Hyunjin teased, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips as he took a seat.

Felix flushed, hiding his face behind his hands. "Hyun!"

Hyunjin laughed, placing a kiss on Felix's forehead. "Relax, Lixie. I'm just teasing...what do you wanna do today?"

"do not leave the house at all and go to sleep again" Felix took a bite of his food as he explained.

"that tired?" Hyunjin teased again just to keep his mouth shut after Felix shot him a death glare.

After making sure Felix ate breakfast, Hyunjin tidied up the room while Felix dozed off for a little while longer. When Felix woke again, he found Hyunjin sitting beside him, scrolling through his phone.

"You don't have to babysit me," Felix said, his voice still groggy.

Hyunjin shook his head. "Not babysitting. Taking care of my husband."

Felix rolled his eyes but couldn't hide the small smile creeping onto his face.

after a while, Hyunjin finished all the chores and sat down on the couch next to Felix who was just sketching his next design.

"You're surprisingly good at this," Felix commented, sipping the tea Hyunjin had made for him.

Hyunjin glanced over his shoulder. "What's that supposed to mean? I'm always good at stuff."

Felix chuckled. "Sure, sure."

Hyunjin looked at Felix with a skeptical look before deciding to annoy him and make him stop working.

their morning was just filled with sarcastic remarks with sweet meanings. 

As lunchtime rolled around, Hyunjin reappeared in the living room, carrying a tray with a steaming bowl of soup and some buttered bread.

"Soup?" Felix asked, raising an eyebrow.

Hyunjin shrugged. "Comfort food. And before you say it, yes, I made it myself. No takeout today."

Felix took a cautious sip and widened his eyes. "This is actually really good."

Hyunjin feigned offense. "What do you mean, actually? Have some faith in me!"

They laughed, the sound filling the apartment with warmth.

In the afternoon, Hyunjin suggested they watch a movie together. He let Felix pick, even though it ended up being a cheesy rom-com.

"You secretly love these," Felix teased as the opening credits rolled.

Hyunjin sighed dramatically. "Fine. You caught me."

Halfway through, Felix leaned against Hyunjin's shoulder, his eyelids growing heavy. Hyunjin didn't move, gently running his fingers through Felix's hair until he fell asleep.

When Felix woke up, it was nearing dinner time. He found Hyunjin in the kitchen, attempting to cook again.

"What are you doing?" Felix asked, leaning against the doorway.

Hyunjin turned, his face smeared with a bit of sauce. "Making dinner. Don't look at me like that—I'm improving."

Felix laughed, shaking his head. "You're a mess."

Hyunjin pointed a spoon at him. "A mess that loves you. Go sit, it's almost done."

Dinner was simple but comforting—pasta and garlic bread. Hyunjin watched Felix eat, making sure he finished every bite.

"You're hovering," Felix said, raising an eyebrow.

"Just making sure you're okay," Hyunjin replied.

Felix reached across the table, taking Hyunjin's hand in his. "I'm better than okay. Thanks to you."

Later that night, as they got ready for bed, Hyunjin pulled Felix into his arms, tucking him close.

"You're so clingy today," Felix teased, though his tone was affectionate.

"Can't help it," Hyunjin murmured. "I like taking care of you."

Felix smiled, resting his head on Hyunjin's chest. "I noticed."
