The silence settled in right after, with both of their minds full of words but none daring to escape. Hyunjin stood up and lent Felix a hand to stand up too. As soon as the cold air hit them, they both felt chills down their spines.

"Lixie, do you want to know what my dad used to do?" Hyunjin asked, recalling a bittersweet memory. Felix nodded, and Hyunjin smiled before asking him to stand on top of his feet. Then he wrapped his arms around him, making Felix clutch tightly onto him. Luckily, they were alone in this spot, or people would've thought they were just so cringe.

"I'm not too heavy, am I?" Felix asked, looking a bit hesitant. "You're light as a feather," Hyunjin smiled and took small steps, moving Felix with him.

"When I was a kid, my dad would often do this with my mother, and I would always be curious. He told me that it was special and that I must do the same with my future partner. I was stubborn as a kid and asked him to carry me, but he would say no. Yet he would give up very soon after. I couldn't reach his waist, so I would hug him from his hips, and he would laugh while my mother smiled at me. I can see why they mainly did this in winter." Hyunjin looked at Felix, who was quite stunned by this information.

Felix hesitated before asking the question, "So...you guys weren't always like that...?"

Hyunjin smiled with teary eyes and shook his head, and Felix quickly got the cue to get off and hug Hyunjin tight as tears streamed down. "No, we weren't. We had a lot of financial problems, so Dad decided to take a huge risk and start his company and asked me to study hard. He made sure nothing disturbed my studies and worked extra hard."

He wiped his tears before continuing, "When I became 16, I had a huge dream: to be a model and act like they do in TV shows, but my parents didn't necessarily agree. I was dealing with my own emotions, and I was stubborn too, so I would just scream and shout. They became tough, and I felt as if I was hopeless, so I studied business for them, but my grades were really bad.

So they made me a deal: act and model as a part-time job, and I was the happiest at that time. Most of my time was occupied by that as a whole. When it came time for my dad to retire, I screamed, shouted, cursed, and did everything else to make them back off from their decisions, but they were solid on their decisions and involved my relatives just so I could agree.

Even then, my dad was mad and cut off ties with me, and I was left just stuck. But then my mom came to me and told me that if I married you, he'll speak to me again... so I forgot everything just for that."

The tears kept streaming down his face as he explained, overwhelmed by every single emotion there was to feel.

"Why are you telling me this now?" Felix asked, holding Hyunjin tight and looking into his eyes.

"I trust you, Lix. I don't want how and why I married you to just stay a secret then let time stretch it into something bigger. I know this is really just out of the blue and you may feel overwhelmed, but I think this is the best time because you don't have to work so much and can take a few days' break," Hyunjin admitted, and Felix smiled.

 "Thank you..."

Two bodies pressed against each other as if an eclipse happened, but this time, worries melted into the snow on the ground.

Felix looked up into Hyunjin's eyes where stars were peacefully playing inside.

"Cold?" Hyunjin asked with a smile, his hands holding onto Felix's in an attempt to warm them up.

"Let's go." Hyunjin took Felix's hands and guided him to the car they came in.

"You know...I did promise to cook, but how about a hot takeout?" Hyunjin opened the passenger seat and let Felix sit in before going to the driver's seat and settling in.

Felix turned the heater on and relaxed, sighing in relief from the cold outside.

A low chuckle filled the car as Hyunjin looked at Felix and shook his head before driving off.

"How about this? We eat in the car and go to an amusement park nearby. It's late and there won't be any people," Felix suggested while Hyunjin hummed, but then a notification flashed on Hyunjin's phone.

 Yuri sent you a message.

Do you want to open it?

 [Yes] [No]

Yuri: Hyunjin, the shooting is postponed for 3 days because most staff are under the weather. Oh, and don't spend too much time outside.

 Hyunjin: How did you know?

Yuri: I know more than you think and send Lix my congratulations! He really nailed the show.

 Hyunjin: K thanks.

He shrugged the weird feeling off and handed Lix the phone to read the message.

"Huh?" Felix looked at him in surprise as he took the phone, and Hyunjin motioned him to read the messages.

The messages made him smile, and Hyunjin couldn't be more glad.

 A while later,

Hyunjin parked the car and held the passenger door open for Lix as he came out, shivering under the cold air again.

They exchanged glances before running off to the nearest rides.

"You know, I've always wanted to try the carousel. I never got to ride it," Felix said as he dragged Hyunjin by his arm.

"The roller coaster seems fun; let's go!!" Hyunjin exclaimed while trying to run as fast as he could.

"How about the Ferris wheel?" Felix suggested, and Hyunjin nodded.
