Hyunjin's POV
Yuri tapped her fingers lightly on the table while the crew adjusted the cameras. I leaned back in my chair, trying to refocus my thoughts, but my eyes kept drifting toward Felix. He stood by the monitor, arms crossed, a tightness in his posture that hadn't been there before.
He'd been acting strange lately. Quiet. Careful.
"Hyunjin, you're zoning out again," Yuri teased, snapping her fingers in front of my face.
I blinked, startled. "What?"
"Something on your mind?" she asked, leaning in a little closer. "Or should I say, someone?"
"Very funny."
Yuri smirked but didn't press further. "You better snap out of it before the director does."
I glanced back at Felix, who was still watching me. His gaze was sharp, intense. Almost like he was angry. But then he caught me looking and quickly averted his eyes, his ears turning the faintest shade of red.
"Everything okay with Felix?" Yuri asked, lowering her voice.
"I don't know," I admitted.
She raised an eyebrow, a knowing glint in her eye. "You should figure that out. He's been staring at you for the last five minutes."
My stomach twisted uncomfortably at her words. I looked over again, but this time Felix was pretending to check his phone, his fingers moving a little too quickly on the screen.
The next scene called for a kiss.
Yuri and I stood under the soft lighting, the director giving us final instructions. I tried to focus, but I couldn't shake the feeling of Felix's eyes on me.
"Ready?" Yuri asked, her tone light but professional.
"Yeah," I said, forcing a smile.
The cameras rolled, and we stepped into the scene. Yuri delivered her lines flawlessly, her emotions palpable. When the moment came, I leaned in, closing the distance between us.
"Cut!" the director called. "Good, but let's try it again. A little more hesitation before the kiss, Hyunjin. We need that tension."
"Got it," I said, stepping back.
As we reset, I caught a glimpse of Felix by the monitor again. His jaw was tight, his expression unreadable. For a second, I thought he was glaring at me. But then he looked away, his fingers tapping nervously against his arm.
After the scene wrapped, Yuri and I sat together while the crew prepared for the next shot. She leaned back in her chair, sipping from a water bottle.
"You've got an audience," she said, nodding toward Felix.
I glanced over. He was still by the monitor, his eyes darting between the crew and me.
"Do you think he's mad?" I asked, keeping my voice low.
Yuri tilted her head, considering. "Mad? No. But he's definitely something."
I sighed, rubbing the back of my neck. "He's been so... weird lately. Like he's avoiding me, but then he's always around."
"Sounds like jealousy," Yuri said, smirking.
I frowned. "Jealousy?"
"You're really acting like married couples," she teased.
I rolled my eyes. "Thanks for the insight, Dr. Yuri."
She laughed, but her expression softened. "Seriously, though. Talk to him. You guys spend too much time together to let this... whatever it is, get between you."
some time later...
When I got home, Felix was in the kitchen.
The apartment smelled amazing—something savory with a hint of garlic and herbs. He was focused on the stovetop, his back to me as he stirred a pot of sauce.
"Hey," I said, setting my bag down.
Felix glanced over his shoulder, giving me a small smile. "You're back early."
"Yeah, we wrapped up sooner than I thought."
I walked over, leaning against the counter. "What are you making?"
"Carbonara," he said simply, his eyes flicking back to the sauce.
I nodded, watching him in silence. There was something calming about the way he moved in the kitchen, so precise and deliberate.
"You were at the set today," I said after a moment.
Felix stiffened slightly but didn't look at me. "I had some free time."
"You didn't seem like you were enjoying yourself."
"I was fine," he said, a little too quickly.
"You sure? Because you looked like you wanted to throw something at me during the kiss scene."
Felix froze, the spoon hovering over the pot. Slowly, he turned to face me, his cheeks flushed. "I wasn't—"
"You were," I interrupted, crossing my arms. "What's going on with you lately?"
"I'm just busy," he said, turning back to the stove.
"That's not an answer."
Felix sighed, setting the spoon down. He finally looked at me, his eyes searching mine. "I'm not mad at you, Hyunjin. Just... tired."
It felt like a half-truth, but I didn't push. Instead, I nodded, letting the conversation drop.
Later that night, Felix handed me an invitation card while I was finishing up dinner. The sleek black envelope had Eclipse embossed in silver on the front.
"What's this?" I asked, pulling out the card.
"My runway showcase," Felix said, his voice quieter than usual. "Five designs for Louis Vuitton, and the official opening of my company."
"Felix!" I said, grinning. "This is amazing!"
He looked down, a small smile tugging at his lips. "Thanks. It's a big step."
"You're nervous."
"A little," he admitted. "But I've worked hard for this. I want it to be perfect."
"It will be," I said confidently.
For a moment, he looked at me, his expression softening. "You'll come, right?"
"Of course," I said. "Wouldn't miss it for the world."
